Mothers are nurturers. Mothers are caring, loving, giving, understanding, patient & brave. Mothers are fierce! They will do whatever is necessary to protect their children.
Mothers are steadfast. Mothers are imaginative, coming up with brilliant ideas to sustain their family.
The love of a mother is indescribable & unconditional! The love a woman gives cannot be measured or understood. When they love, they love fiercely!
I thank God for the faith of a woman! The faith of a woman can sustain her family through any major crisis.
I thank God for the prayers of a mother. Praying women can move mountains! God’s word says this about a mother. In Proverbs 31:25 it says: “Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared]. In verse 28, God’s word says this about a mother: “Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired).”
God also says this about women in verse 30: “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
Most of all a mother is a prayer warrior! The fervent prayer of a mother avails much! God’s word says this about fervent prayer in James 5:16 – The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Do not let that one word “man” deter you. God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). The fervent prayer of the women is no different from that same prayer of a man.
In fact, a women’s prayer can be more powerful. Why? Because women give their hearts completely to God. Women for some reason trust God in an easier fashion. Why? I am not sure. Perhaps it is because a woman loves and trusts wholeheartedly. A lot of times without question or doubts.
I truly believe in my heart of hearts that God created women with an incredible capacity to love.
Yes, a woman is a fierce person. And don’t let all this silly talk about men giving birth and becoming mothers too fool or confuse you. God made man and women. God is not and will never be confused on what He created us to be.
A biological man cannot carry a child. A man will never know the blessing it is to carry and care for a living human inside their body.
Mothers, I say thank you today & every day for the job that you do! It is one where there is no pay and long enduring hours.
Sometimes, there isn’t enough appreciation for the sacrifices you make. Today we honor you! We say thank you for everything that you do!
Today is Good Friday.
What does that mean?
Today, the world’s Savior died to take each of our places.
He was the unblemished Lamb of God.
Perfect in every way. He was sinless and bore all sins of all humanity.
He took all that sin to the cross, where it died with His flesh.
Why did he take our sins to the cross?
So, when we were ready, we could proclaim our rebirth via Christ.
See, when we come to God and accept Jesus as our Savior, our sins are already defeated on that old rugged cross.
Why did Jesus do this? Why did He die for you and take each of your sins to the cross?
The answer is so simple. Jesus did it for LOVE.
Jesus was God on earth in human flesh.
Jesus knew what lay ahead of Him. He knew the betrayal, agony, suffering, beatings, hate, and suffocation that waited for Him.
His flesh wanted to back out. His flesh had second thoughts. He asked the Father if this cup could pass Him (Matt 26:39).
But as we all are, He was subject to God’s will.
See, God so loved the world He gave His only Son, Jesus (John 3:16)
God gave out of His love for humanity.
If you are a parent, think of this type of sacrifice. How many of us would give our children to endure such suffering and eventually death?
I would venture to say that none of us would do this.
We love our children too much to see them endure pain and suffering.
We fight so hard to prevent them from enduring any pain.
Yet, God allowed His only Son, Jesus, to endure the most suffering, pain, and agony inflicted on any human.
Why? Why would God do all this?
He loves you more than you can ever imagine.
His love isn’t worldly. It is a love so powerful that it will change you forever.
His love engulfs you. His love surrounds, penetrates, encompasses, and is where His peace that passes all human understanding lives.
Once you feel it, you want to experience it more and more.
It is a love that can only be experienced in His Holy presence.
How do I know this? Because I have felt it.
There have been two occasions where He has allowed me into His presence, where I experienced His love for me.
That is how I can speak to it so profoundly.
I want more. I long to be there in that love again and again.
Now I am not unique. All of us can experience this.
We only have to ask Him and pursue Him.
God wants to be pursued. He wants us to chase after Him.
He wants us to be hungry and thirst for His presence.
He wants us to long for His presence.
Today is the perfect day to seek after God.
We are in trying times. Now is the time to accept Jesus as your Savior.
If you are ready to accept Jesus as your Savior, please pray this prayer out loud with me.
When I say out loud, I mean not under your breath and not to yourself.
Say it so the enemy can hear you.
Yes, it can be a whisper. That is loud enough for God, you, and the enemy to hear.
Today, if you want to seek salvation and Jesus as your personal Savior, pray this prayer with me:
God, I am a sinner. Forgive me for my sins. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me. I believe Jesus is your only begotten Son. I believe He died on the cross, and on the third day, He ascended to heaven and is forever seated at Your right hand. I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. God, come into my life and use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, you are born again. You are a new child in Christ. Welcome to the Kingdom of God.
If you are able, find a good bible-based church that believes Jesus is our resurrected King and Savior.
If you cannot find a good church, don’t give up. Keep praying and seeking God for Him to lead you to one.
There are many great churches online. Pastor Paula White, Bishop TD Jakes, Hank Kunneman, and Joel Osteen are a few of my favorites.
Also, seek God as often as possible through prayer and constantly reading the bible, God’s word.
Via the bible (God’s word), God will start to reveal things to you. His word is also your spoken weapon against sickness, lack, fear, etc. It is your weapon to use against the enemy, Satan.
God’s word is power! It will never lose its power, and it cannot be altered, changed, or revoked. His word is so powerful that even God Himself cannot change His word(the bible). Never forget these things about the bible! God’s word spoken aloud will give you victory in every battle you face.
God bless you!
Does God hear our prayers? Is He listening? Does He want to help with this war raging in Ukraine?
Those are all valid questions. I think each of us has asked or wondered at some point if God is real.
Well, I say ask Him.
God created us. He knows we are curious and wish to understand things that seem more significant than us.
God is more significant than anything or anyone person.
God is so complex that we may never fully understand the scope of who God is, but don’t let that deter you.
God is also personable. He isn’t some significant scary holy entity that is unapproachable.
God is not a cookie-cutter God. He is not a one-size-fits-all deity.
God knows we are curious. He created us to ask questions and to find answers.
If you want to know if God is real, ask Him. Now how He reveals his answers may not satisfy your curiosity.
If you ask questions, He may not reveal the answers. Some answers come many days, months, or even years later.
You might be thinking that you want God to perform some colossal miracle for you to believe that He exists.
We can ask but be cautious not to have grand ideas of exactly how you expect God to show you, His answers.
His answer may be so subtle that you miss it.
You should know this about God; He never answers prayer the way you expect Him to.
That is one thing that I admire about God. He always does something unexpectedly that makes me appreciate Him even more.
So, ask Him. He may answer, and He may not respond.
God wants us to seek Him continuously.
And please don’t think that if He doesn’t answer your question, this is the proof that He does not exist.
God wants and desires to be pursued.
I know you might be thinking that this pursuit is too much to ask, but once you have a glimpse of God, you will know it was all worth it, and you will hunger for more peeks and reveals into who God is.
A personal relationship with God is beyond any small effort we put into it. We are living in scary times. There is no better time to pursue God.
Right now, we need to be constantly praying for peace. Ask God to intervene in this awful war and for His mighty hand to move to end it quickly. Also, pray for peace! We need peace! Don’t give up on prayer.
Please don’t think that it does not work. Prayer is power. If prayer groups are praying for peace, join one. Even if it is an internet prayer group, God will still hear. Time, place, in person or internet prayer, God is not restricted by any of these things.
When we come in agreement with other believers seeking God’s will, He will move. His word says so. In Matt 18:19, His word speaks of the power of agreement:https://biblehub.com/matthew/18-19.htm
Where should you give? There are many great charities raising funds for humanitarian relief for the people of Ukraine. Do some research and see if God’s peace comes over you about giving a donation at the place you choose.
Giving is also called planting a seed. Although this seed is a money seed, it can be pointed and asked for God to use it for a breakthrough in this war, for peace to prevail, and for God’s hand to move in this situation.
Our family has planted seeds with Samaritan’s’ Purse, Paula White Ministries, and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Again, this is where I gave. Where you plant your seed is between you and God.
Here are some bible verses that will assist you in your pursuit of our one true living God:
This post was written back in March of this year. God brought to attention that perhaps there are people out there looking for places to find the words and correlating scripture for things like protection, healing, breaking the spirit of fear over themselves and their families, etc.
When He did that, I decided to repost this. Please remember how powerful prayer is. Never doubt its power and never allow anyone to talk you out of prayer because they believe it is useless.
Our prayer is pure power. It is our communication with our God who is all powerful and holds ALL power. Our prayer asks Him to intervene in our lives and situations. Remember God’s word in Deuteronomy 31:6.
What does God’s name say about Him? Do you know all the names of God?
Here are just a few of them.
Emmanuel – God with us. https://www.ibelieve.com/faith/10-powerful-names-of-god-and-what-they-mean-for-us-today.html
God’s word is unchangeable, unfaltering, unwavering, and will stand forever (Matt24:35).
God’s word cannot be altered even by Him.
God holds His word above Himself.
What does this mean for us? Well, this says that God’s word will not fail us. His word will come to pass. His word is our weapon to use against the chaos of this world.
As we apply our daily armor of God, His word is referenced as our sword, which is our weapon!
His name is our peace, our healing, our provision, our protection, our restorer, our defender, our victory, etc.
His name is all the things we will ever need during our lifetime.
So how can you benefit from His word and His name right now? Well, that is the perfect question to ask.
If you believe God is God, that He is who He says He is, that His word cannot fail and that His word is a powerful weapon, then you have won half the battle.
Right now, we are facing a deadly disease. Now is the time we need God’s presence, His direction, and His answers for this difficult time.
God is not like us, and He does not do things the way we do. His ideas, His thoughts, His wisdom, His knowledge is above our same traits. This is why He is God.
We think words aren’t a big deal. We say whatever we want whenever we want, never giving a second thought about the impact those spoken words will have.
The words we speak will either cause life or death. Our words will take us on a path of blessings or curses. Whomever we speak words over, we, therefore, have impacted their life in some way, shape, or form.
Negative words spoken by other people over us can be denied or unaccepted by us.
Again, using the utterance of spoken words, we have the right to accept words spoken by someone over us.
Again, using the power of words, we have the right to deny spoken words of death over our lives.
See, words are potent! God used words to create the universe. He spoke the sun, the moon, the starts, the plant, all wildlife, the ocean, etc. into existence with His mere words.
Just like our Father in heaven, our words have power too!
We can speak things into existence, as long as they align with God’s will for our lives, according to God’s word.
If we are sick, we can speak our healing into existence using God’s word (https://www.openbible.info/topics/with_his_stripes_we_are_healed).
If we are addicted, we can break the power of addiction over our lives using God’s word (https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/bible-verses-about-addiction/).
If we are afflicted with depression, we can speak God’s word over our lives or the lives of our loved ones and break depression (https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/depression-bible-verses/).
If we are facing a world pandemic, we can speak God’s word to call for His safety and protection over our family and our loved ones (https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/bible-verses-about-protection/).
If we are facing the loss of a job and the ability to provide a living for our family, we can speak God’s word of blessings and prosperity over our lives (https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God~s-Provision).
We need to remind God of His word all the time. Not that He forgets His word but to build our faith.
In essence, to tell God, this is who You are, and this is what You said You would do.
Hence the verse faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ (Rom10:17).
We must hear, speak, and proclaim His word, His goodness, and His love for us all the time.
When we utter His living word over our lives at all times, this builds faith and stirs the atmosphere with our expectations.
We sit in anticipation, waiting, and watching for the miracles of God. And they must appear because we are stirring the atmosphere with our spoken utterances and with our worship.
You must know how powerful words are. Our words can bless or curse. They can lift or tear down, or they can build up or destroy.
Please don’t think that you can apply God’s principle of blessing over your life for one day and expect to see miracles the next day.
The process of speaking life, protection, provision is a lifetime daily job.
Now, I know what you are thinking. You probably think that this will be exhausting.
We are so used to instant gratification. The majority of the time, God is NOT an immediate gratification type of God.
He wants you to be in it for the long haul. He wants you to pursue Him diligently with your whole heart.
Now once you see the manifestation of God’s spoken word in your life, this will become like second nature.
At this point, you will continue to go from level to level in your faith, your blessings, and your prosperity.
Some of us will find this a little challenging to speak positive words all the time. Some of us will find it a little difficult to think before we speak.
God will help with this too. If you want to pursue this, you will have to go to God in prayer to ask for His help.
Do not be ashamed or embarrassed to ask God for help. God is not the God of guilt, shame, and embarrassment. He is always the God of grace, love, nurturing, and peace. He is a caring and loving God!
Many of us are looking and searching for happiness. We want to be happy. We look to other people, things, the newest gadgets, a new house, a new car, etc. Many individuals seek personal coaches, gurus, and other programs to “find” happiness. Some of those people even spend a hefty amount to locate this elusive thing we call “happiness.”
But the answer is simple. Finding happiness isn’t elusive at all. Happiness can be found when we look at things differently. We tell ourselves that we will be happy when we lose x number of pounds, when we finally get married, when we find that special someone, we have been looking for such a long time, when we have a family, when we get rich, etc. We tell ourselves when this particular event happens, then we will be delighted, but is that true? And we have to think about when exactly will that event take place in our lives? Life is too short to put off genuinely being happy and content. Now here is the very simple solution. Be thankful. Wow! Yep, short and sweet. See, being thankful changes your attitude, changes how you see things, and invites new possibilities into your life. Being thankful opens your eyes to see all the beauty around you. Now there has to be something in your life to be thankful for. Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are celebrating being thankful. Let that thankfulness continue on tomorrow, next week, next month, and throughout the year. If you think that this is too simple to work, then experiment with it. Try being thankful for a week and see what happens. Find that one thing in your life to be thankful for and focus on that. When you start there, you will begin to see other things to be grateful for that you never realized before. See, God’s word tells us in Phil 4:6 to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Today, decide to be happy by being thankful. I pray that your Thanksgiving a safe, blessed, and most of all, full of happiness. God bless you.
When was the last time you said “thank you” to a Veteran? When was the last time you told them how necessary their sacrifice was? Today, that sacrifice means more than ever. Today, we are watching those freedoms that our Veterans fought so valiantly for being pulled out from under our feet. Those in power seek to take away every freedom bestowed on us by God and defended by our brave servicemen and women. Even though things appear bleak, do not give up and do not stop fighting. If our Veterans can keep fighting no matter how complex their mission is, we can surely keep fighting too. Most of us will never understand how brutal their fights were. Most of us will never be called upon to lay our lives down in service to our countrymen, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a job to complete too. We all have a role to play. The job of defending our freedoms does not solely fall at the feet of our brave armed forces. We, too, have a job to do. We need to keep our voices raised when we see our freedoms being stripped away. God, give us the same bravery, endurance, and strength that you have gifted our servicemen and women with. Father, let us focus on others and not on ourselves. God, let us dedicate our fight to those who laid down their lives for us. God, help us fight to save America. Father, most of all, let us not grow weary as we continue to fight those who seek to destroy America, our freedoms, our Godly values, our heritage, and all that America stands for. In Jesus’ name, we agree and pray. Amen. To our Veterans, I say God bless you and thank you. Thank you for caring for your country and each of us more than you do for yourself. Thank you for defending our freedoms so bravely. The price you pay is one most of us will never understand and one we can never repay. We say thank you for the sacrifice you have given to each of us and our beloved America.
