Spoken destiny.

worship11-11-1

So we have been covering our spoken words in the previous posts.  Spoken words of curses and death have to be broken over our lives. I wanted to move on to another subject “But God” wants to stay here and discuss this issue in more depth.  Understanding this tells me that God needs us to have a deeper understanding of this matter.  He is asking me to go into detail about a personal experience I have had with this very subject.  I guess He needs us all to realize how His principal works in a “normal & everyday” person’s life.

Our words have the power to bring God’s supernatural blessings into existence.   It is imperative that we start to do this immediately.  If you have been reading these posts, I know you probably have questions.  How do I know what my divine destiny is?  How do I know what God created to me accomplish for Him?  There is one answer.  We need to pray and seek the answer from the creator.

We start to think in our minds that it must be hard to understand what God wants from us but it isn’t.  We like to overthink things and then complicate them too.  God isn’t complicated.  I think we like to believe He is way too complicated so we can keep Him at bay.  Even if you don’t know what God created you to accomplish for Him before you start praying for it to come into existence, what harm can that do? You have to know in your heart that what He has in store for you is something more incredible than you could ever accomplish without Him.

Start to pray and ask Him to reveal your divine purpose.  You have to understand that asking one time more than likely isn’t going to get you an answer.  In our society, we want things to happen immediately.  On most occasions, God doesn’t work like that.  God wants us to pursue and chased after Him.  God needs to know that we desire Him so much which doesn’t refer to a worldly desire but a passion and hunger for Him and all the things of Him. Before He starts to reveal Himself to us, we have to show Him that we want Him in our lives.  How do we do that?  By praying and asking Him for these things specifically.

I can give you a prime example.  Back when I was younger, I was attempting to attain a college degree.  One of my required classes to achieve that degree was a class in writing.  I discovered that I was pretty good at it.  Writing came very easy for me.  I found that I had a pretty incredible imagination.  Now mind you back at this time, I was a baby Christian.  I had no knowledge of God given destinies etc.  I just simply thought that it was pretty cool that writing came very easy for me.  I ended up receiving an A as a grade in that class.  Well, time went on, and life happened, and I forgot about that cool writing class where I had a received an unknowing glimpse of what God had in store for me.

Some years later, I found myself moving closer and closer to God. At this point of my Christian life, I was so hungry for God and of all things about Him that He started to reveal Himself to me. What He showed me was so incredible that I wanted more and more. I was so passionate about everything of God.  It was during this time that God started to show me visions and give me dreams.  I don’t want to disclose everything that He showed me but I all I can say was some of the visions were so incredible that I wondered if all of these things were a figment of my wonderful imagination.  I only have one thing to say to that thought.  The devil is a liar!

God’s visions have to be something so large that they are unattainable by us.  If those visions were something simple, it wouldn’t force us out of our comfort zone.  If those visions were simple, I could accomplish it without God’s help.  I prayed, and prayed, and prayed, and prayed about it.  Asking God for direction.  I also asked God if He was the one who gave me those visions.  Deep down in my heart, I knew that it was Him.  I guess I was trying to look for excuses to not pursue that destiny because it was so daunting.

Then guess what happened?  God answered my prayers.  LOL.  Imagine that.  How silly of me to think that He wouldn’t.  I prayed so much about it that God confirmed my visions through a man of God who was prophetic.  This man spoke out and told me word for word what God had shown me in my visions.  I knew it was God at this point.  This vision that the man of God confirmed had been hidden away in my heart.

When God gave me this vision, I had not told a soul.  No one on this earth knew what God had shown me.  When God gave the vision, I kept it to myself.  I didn’t tell anyone.  I was too unsure.  I could barely believe it myself.  How did I expect others to believe what God had shown me if I couldn’t even believe it?  Once I received this prophetic word, I knew without a doubt that it was God who had revealed it to me.  Now, no one can tell me otherwise.  I know in my heart of hearts that God showed me so long ago what He created me to be.

So what did I do to get from that point of realizing I had a gift to write to this stage where I am writing this so you can move closer to God too?  I prayed a lot, and I spoke that vision into existence.  I held onto it when all my circumstances said something entirely different.  I fasted, and I planted seed directly for my divine destiny to come to fruition.

So, what were the words I spoke into existence?  The words I spoke out exactly reflected what God had shown me in one of my visions.  I gave words for worship and thanks to God.  I uttered out loud words like “thank you God that I am a world renown known author.  “Thank you, God, that I have a creative mind exactly like your creative mind.”  “Thank you, God, that I am more that a conquer.”  “Thank you, God, that I am a world renown known children’s book writer.”  “Thank you, God, that I am a world renown known author of fiction and nonfiction books.”  “Thank you, God, that I am the head and not the tail.”  “Thank you God that I am first and not last.”  “Thank you, God that I can do ALL things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.”  “Thank you God that I am what you said I am, and I can do everything you created me to do.”  On and on it went.

Did I feel silly doing this?  Of course, I did!  I felt kind of coo-coo at times.  Sometimes I felt like I was wasting my time.  Does it sound vain?  Maybe to some people it might, but I was only saying the things that God had already shown me and confirmed to me through the prophetic man of God.  Now some of you might be saying that I am full of myself for saying and maybe even for believing these things about myself.  I do not see it that way.  Again, these are things that God has revealed to me.  At this point, I do not care who believes me or not.  I am only trying to make sure I accomplish everything God created me to be.

Have I taken flack for speaking God’s visions aloud?  Of course, I have.  Some people think I am really off my rocker.  Some people don’t want to have anything to do me with me because I am a sold out Jesus freak.  Even some family members have stopped speaking to me because I go all in for God.  Let them think what they want.  I am focused on pleasing God.  I want everything He has for me.  My desire for Him and everything about Him is so intense that I cannot find words to describe it.  I am not interested in being a people pleaser.

God’s timing is always impeccable!  LOL. As I am sitting here typing these words into this post, this Tweet comes across the Twittersphere:

This message was just Tweeted out by Paula White-Cain.  A powerful, prophetess and woman of God that my family has been aligned with for years https://t.co/PAIlGb59ub.  Again, God’s confirmation, on so many levels. Thank you, God, for your timing.  It’s always perfect.  Thank you, Father, for always showing me that you order my footsteps.

Please don’t misunderstand.  When I was uttering those words into existence, I felt out of sorts.  These actions weren’t what I was used to. These actions were abnormal for me.  This action is out of the ordinary for most of us.  Most of us do not understand how to do things the way God wants us to.  We speak words of negativity and complaints into existence without thinking twice about doing so.  We go about spewing out words that destroy our future and of those we love.  We utter out death and curses without having any second thought of the consequences of our words.  Negative consequences happen because for the most part we aren’t taught to do things God’s way. We have to retrain our hearts, our mouth, and our minds.

Please also understand that when I was walking around uttering these words into existence, that I wasn’t doing so with happiness and glee.  I wasn’t walking around shouting these words from the top of my lungs.  I was doing it in a whispering, quiet and hush-hush sort of way but that is all it takes. My words need to be heard by God, myself and by the enemy.  Whispering them is just as effective as shouting them.  Make no mistake, though; now these words are uttered out with confidence, knowledge, and happiness.

In closing, we have to remember several things:

  1. We need to find out what our divine calling is. What did God create you specifically to accomplish for Him?
  2. We need to retrain our hearts and mouths to speak blessings and life. We have to retrain our minds to do things God’s way.
  3. We need to chase after God and after all the things of God. We need to have a passion for Him that will never extinguish.
  4. We have to desire Him and everything about Him above EVERYTHING else in our lives!
  5. We need to pray without ceasing.  Don’t think that prayer doesn’t work.  It does!  Our prayer moves God to intervene in our situations and our lives.
  6. Once you believe you have received your answer about your diving calling, pray and ask God to please confirm it.  Trust me He will confirm it.
  7. Find a Spirit-filled church.  The glorious Holy Spirit will fill you and move you closer to God.  Pray about the direction to the right church too.  PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Can we pray together?  Dear Heavenly, Father,  use me for your Glory.  Show me, father, who and what you created me to be.  Father, show me how you see me.  God, once you show me how you see me, please don’t ever let me forget it.  Please let that vision forever fuel me to accomplish everything I need to do for you. Father,  what you have in store for me, no man or devil can stop me from reaching that dream.  God, let every obstacle become a stepping stone.  Let every setback become a set up for a breakthrough.  Father, keep me humble.  Remind me that without you I could not reach these tremendous goals on my own.  Father, assist me in giving you all the glory because I can do all things through Christ Jesus.  Right now we speak to the spirit of fear, intimidation, and doubt.  You are not from or of God.  God does not operate in fear, intimidation, and doubt.  Fear, intimidation, and doubt we bind you in the name of Jesus. In their place, we lose confidence, knowledge, understanding, wisdom and boldness.  God, your word says in Matthew 16:19 – 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth [a]will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth [b]will have been loosed in heaven.”   Thank you, Father, for everything you do for us and loving us more than we can comprehend.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Perhaps you were once close to God but have moved away from Him for whatever reason; then this prayer is for you. Can we pray together? “Dear Father, please forgive me for my sins. God, please cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. I know Christ died on the cross for me. I know He was crucified, buried and then arose on the third day. I know He ascended and now sits on the right hand of God. I receive Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

God bless you all.

Thankful words.

So let’s review what God wants us to know.  First, we can change the course of our lives by speaking God’s word according to His will.  Our lives can take a path of EXtraordinary by fulfilling God’s will for our lives.  We don’t have to stay stuck in the rut of becoming “just like our mother or father” or “just like your black sheep uncle.”  We can accomplish amazing things through God.  We only have to be willing to do what He asks.  Is living for God easy?  The answer is “no.”  That is why the Bible says in Matthew 22:14: For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.” Even though this may not be an easy road to travel, the rewards are tremendous.
Secondly, we have to speak God’s words into existence.  We have to remember that our words have POWER.  We either speak life and blessings or curses and death with our tongue.  Our words can propel us into our divine destiny, or they can send our lives into an unraveled mess.  We have to choose.  We have to pick which one we want for our lives.
Thirdly, we can break all the “spoken curses” uttered into existence over ourselves and our loved ones.  We can break every plot and plan of the enemy with the powerful blood of our living Savior.
Now, let us discuss thankful words.  The Bible says this about thankful words in Psalms 100:4: 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto Him and bless His name.  Praises should continually come from our lips.  We need to desire to be worshippers like King David.  He was the worshipper of all worshippers.   King David wrote in Psalms 34:1: I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. King David knew that his worship which included thankfulness was the way to stay in God’s presence.
In God’s presence is where we need to be at all times.  People always talk about finding a rare place to seek peace & serenity.    Being in God’s presence is being in the ultimate place of peace.  This kind of peace does not exist on this earth.  God’s place of peace is supernatural and passes our understanding.  God has allowed me to occupy His peace and serenity on several occasions.  It is a place that is indescribable with mere words.  I long and desire with all my heart to occupy that holy place again.
Whatever situation we are facing, our attitude needs to be one of thankfulness.  I understand you may be thinking that this is easier said than done.  Please remember that God’s words say “All things are possible through Christ Jesus.” Bear in mind that our attitude determines our altitude.  Our nature is to complain and whine about the situations we are currently facing.  That is “normal” behavior for us.  Some of us whine and complain more than others.  It doesn’t matter if you complain a little or a lot.  God looks at our attitude.  We need to look at our battles as opportunities to become grateful & victorious.  Be thankful that when we are victorious, we will be stronger, and our faith will reach new levels.
I understand that certain things we have to face may appear unfair sometimes.  Some people seem to go through battle after battle with little to no rest or victory between each fight.  Do you know someone like that?  I truly believe in my heart that God has something so incredibly EXtraordinary in store for this person.  Why is there little to no victory in their lives?  Could it be the way this person is going through the battles?  It makes me wonder.  I am curious about this.
Being curious about it leads me to ask God why these sorts of things happen.  I have heard too many people say that we should not ask God “why God.”  If we don’t ask questions, how can we know what we are doing incorrectly?   I ask why all the time.  I ask for understanding and knowledge to fix these issues.  Time is too precious to keep going through the same battles over and over again.  Obviously, God is trying to teach us something wonderful if we keep going through the same battle again and again.
Could it be the way this person is going through each battle?  Could the “words” that are spoken into existence be words of complaints and whining?  Is this something to pray about and ask God?  There has to be a reason!  There is a reason we go through the things we do.  Everything happens for a reason.  There are no such things as coincidences.  If there are words of whining and complaining, then there can’t be words of thankfulness.  Remember it has to be one (complaints) or the other (thankfulness).  Complaints are counterproductive to thankfulness and vice versa.
Why is there so much animosity in this person’s life?  I would want to know why these fights keep happening without victories.  I would HAVE to know how to fix it.  Could it be that the enemy has them in disarray and confusion, so they never reach their EXtraordinary divine purpose?  My heart says the answer is “yes.”  God’s words say that we need to keep our eyes on Him because this is when our help arrives.  In Psalms 121:2 it says: My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.  If God Almighty created the heaven and earth, isn’t He mighty enough to find a way for you to be victorious in your current situation?
Psalm 121 goes on to say this: I will lift up my eyes to the hills [of Jerusalem]— From where shall my help come? 2My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. In this verse, I see God saying to us that if we keep our eyes focused upon Him, that we will not be able to concentrate on the battle we are currently facing.  Just like our words have to be either blessings or curses, so does the thing we choose to be our object of focus.  If we focus on God’s glory, and our spoken words are His words, how can we fail?
If you can’t find the God words to speak or maybe your pain is too acute, then just say the simple words of “thank you, God.”  Say “thank you God” because He loves you so much.  Say “thank you God” because He will never forsake you.  Say “thank you God” because He is so indescribable.  If the words “thank you God” cannot be uttered, then just say the most powerful name in the world.  Just whisper “Jesus.”  Just His name makes demons tremble in fear.  Every name must bow down to the most powerful name of “Jesus.”  Just by saying “Jesus” makes it possible for other words to follow.  His name “clears the path” so to speak.  Please grab this in your spirit.  Just whispering the name of “Jesus” makes it possible for our spirit to cry out other words of thankfulness.
Maybe your sorrow is too overbearing to utter words of gratitude. Maybe your current situation has your mind so cluttered with doubt, fear, and confusion, but the devil is a liar!  Utter out “Jesus” over and over again and watch how that fear, confusion, and doubt have to flee your spirit.  That name of Jesus causes those negative emotions to flee and makes it possible for other words of thankfulness to come forth. Try it out.  Try whispering out the most powerful name of “Jesus” over and over again.  See for yourself how your spirit can lift out of its current place of sorrow and fear.  Let the enemy hear that you mean to be victorious by using the incredible name of “Jesus.” See we can have a joy that passes understanding as we go through our toughest battles.  God’s word says so.  In  Psalms 28:7 it says: The LORD is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.
We have to let our thankful words make the path for our “But God” moments.  There is no other way.  When we clear the way, then we make it possible for ourselves to utter out Godly words to bring those things that are not into existence.  We make it possible for God to inhabit our lives through our thankful words.  When we speak grateful words, I imagine God is up in heaven telling the Savior and the angels how wonderful we are.  He is the happy father poking everyone in the side and saying “that’s my child down there” speaking thankful words through all their doubt and fear.
As I mentioned in a previous post, the enemy thinks he can dampen the power of the name of “Jesus” by desensitizing our minds and spirits on just how awesome that name truly is.  The enemy is a liar.  The name of “Jesus” will never lose its power.  The name of “Jesus makes the impossible things possible.  The name of “Jesus” brings about healing and restoration.  The name of “Jesus” causes mountains to move.  The name of “Jesus” brings about our “But God” encounters.
You must win every victory through your “thankful words.”  Our “thankful words” have to precede anything we may ask of God.  In closing, let summarize what we have to focus on:
1)  We have to make a decision that nothing or no one is going to steal our joy.
2)  We have to speak “thankful words.”
3)  We have to praise God through every battle till we reach our victory.
4)  God inhabits our “thankful words.”
5)  Negative things and emotions CANNOT occupy the same place as joy and “thankful words.”
6)  “Thankful words” make it possible for the impossible to occur in our lives.
7)  The power of the name “Jesus” will never lose its power.
Can I pray with you?  God in heaven, please let me focus on thankful words.  Please let your praise continually come from my mouth.  Let this praise be pleasing to you.  Let my praise break every plot of the enemy.  Let my “thankful words” bust through every obstacle that is holding me back from my victory.  Let my “God words” bring about the incredible changes in my life.  Let me focus on the “God words” that needs uttering into existence.  Holy Spirit comfort me like only you can when my spirit is heavy.  It is written in Isaiah 61:3 that you give me the spirit of praise for the garment of heaviness.  In John 37:3, it is written, that out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water.  God, I truly believe that the living water is praise.  God use me for your glory.  Let what others may think are victim situations become victories to share with others facing these same issues.  Let my tests turn into testimonies.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
If you are seeking to have a relationship with the King of Kings, then there is another prayer God wants to extend to you.  Maybe you were once close to God but have moved away from him.  Then this prayer is for you.  Please pray with me.  “Dear Father, please forgive me for my sins.  God, please cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus.  I know Christ died on the cross for me.  I know He was crucified, buried and then arose on the third day.  I know He ascended and now sits on the right hand of God.  I receive Jesus as my savior.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
I pray that as your bellies flow with living waters, your lives will transform into your God preordained destinies.  God bless you all.

God’s words (pt.2)

hqdefault11-16-16

In my previous post, God wanted to expand on His spoken word.  Again, He intends to expand on this same topic.  Our spoken words have power!  This subject was previously discussed in the post titled “God’s Words.”  Understanding that our words have power is imperative for us to comprehend.  We need to “get” this into our minds, hearts, and spirits.  We either speak life and blessings OR death and curses into our lives and over the lives of the people we care about and love.  We have to make a conscious decision that we are going to speak only blessings and life with our words.  We have to make our word filter work overtime.  Like the woman of God recently told our congregation, we have to TRAIN our hearts and minds to speak God’s words.  His words always contain life and blessings.

Can you grasp that we have the ability and power to change our current situations?  If you are unhappy about the path your life is taking, change it.  REFOCUS on God so He can do this for you.  See you have to understand that God can bring about a change in our lives that we could never attain.  We can accomplish ordinary things, BUT God brings EXtraordinary change.  Anytime you hear the phrase “But God,” it means something incredible is on the verge of happening.

Those words get me excited!  Every time I hear that phrase “But God,” my spirit jumps with joy and excitement.  Think about it for a couple of minutes.  Someone could be facing a divorce in their marriage, but God stepped in and restored their marriage.  Someone could be facing a long prison term, but God stepped in and gave them the favor and their punishment was reduced.  Someone could be facing cancer, but God stepped in and completely healed and restored their body.  Someone could have lost their job, and they don’t know how they are going to pay their rent and buy food for their family, but God stepped in and provided a way for them to receive their needed funds.

How do these situations turn around?  How do we bring about a “But God’ moment in our situations?  It happens through direct prayer, intercessory prayers, by reading God’s word and by speaking those things that aren’t as though they were.  God needs us to speak those impossible changes into existence and then believe in our hearts that we receive those turnarounds.  Remember what Pastor Jacobs listed as the things  we need to remember about God?  This was in the post titled “I Believe.”  God wants us blessed and fruitful.  Isn’t a happy and successful marriage going to make you happier?  Of course, it is.  Isn’t a happy and prosperous relationship with your loved ones going to bring you joy?  Of course, it will.  That is what God wants for all of us.  Never forget the sacrifice our Savior paid for us to have life and have it more abundantly.

Our words have to reflect blessing and life.  Our words have to be God’s words.  When we examine ourselves, we see flaws.  “But God” sees us the way He created us to be.  God sees us through love and perfection.  When God sees us, He doesn’t see flaws.  Where you see flaws, He sees opportunities to reveal His glory.

Again, remember that God is a God of laws and process.  We have to use His word, His convictions, our prayer and our spoken words to have a “but God” moment in our situations.  I know that it may seem difficult to change our way of speaking and thinking, but it has to happen to bring about change.  “But God,” says all things are possible through Christ Jesus.  We need to ask for His help to bring the changes our hearts are desiring.  We want to change and know we need to create change but saying and doing are two different things.

Let’s face it.  Most of us are fearful of change “But God” does not operate in fear.  A lot of us desire change in some part of our lives, but we fear how that change will alter our lives.  The change will always disrupt our lives in some way, shape or form, but a change for God will always be a huge improvement.  Whether we change some things ourselves or ask God to bring about supernatural change, there will be a disruption.  If there will be disruption either way, then I would rather have God’s change.  Besides, wouldn’t you rather receive supernatural change then a natural change?  I would.

I used to blurt out things into existence without thinking about the consequences of my words.  I knew I had to make a change.  I desired it, and I prayed about it.  I asked God to convict me about my spoken words.  I asked Him to forgive my past spoken curses.  I desired forgiveness and change in my own heart.  Now, He convicts me when I am about to say something I shouldn’t.  Again, it is my choice.  I can always choose which way and path I want to take.  That is how amazing God is. He gave us free will.  Free will to always make choices.

I know that it may be confusing and weird.  It is kind of like always saying the opposite of what you see with your eyes and hear with your ears.  Ask God to help you focus on the supernatural.  We see and do things in the natural “But God” operates in the supernatural.  Our spoken words have to reflect His supernatural abilities.  How incredible is it to always see things in the supernatural like God does?

Let me give you a scenario of someone seeking God’s supernatural abilities.  Let’s say that there is a woman who’s marriage is on the verge of breaking up.  She starts to focus on God and seeks a change via prayer.  She begins to read God’s holy word to focus on God’s way of restoring broken things.  She starts speaking words aloud to bring a “But God” turnaround in her marriage.  Her words are uttered aloud for God, herself and the enemy to hear.  These are words of restoration spoken into existence instead of words of destruction.  She says “thank you God that my marriage is renewed, restored and flourishing.” She says “thank you God that my husband is a man of God and always puts you first.”  She says ” thank you God and let our love for each other be renewed and restored.”  She says “thank you God that we respect each other again.”

All these words spoken into existence are supernatural words God will use to restore her marriage. God hears His words of restoration being spoken to Him, He hears her prayers and sees her heart moving closer to Him through her seeking His written word.  All of those things touch God!  It moves Him to have a supernatural encounter with Him.  Those words she spoke aloud builds her faith, and her heart receives them as being the truth.  Most of all the enemy hears her blessings spoken into existence.

Will these changes in her marriage happen instantly?  That depends on God.  We have to be realistic.  We must pursue God.  He wants us to keep seeking Him.  The last thing we want to do is to receive our God changing blessing then revert to our old ways.  God wants us to pursue Him with excitement and fervor.

Be prepared for people to think you have gone looney tunes.  Us seeing things in God’s supernatural way will make us seem very odd to others.  This woman may receive comments from people saying that she has lost it and that she needs to throw in the towel because her marriage is over.  Her husband may even think these same things about her “But God” will honor her diligence, faithfulness, and the pursuit of Him.

In closing, I want to pray with you.  If there is a change that you desire God to transform somewhere in your life, please pray this with me.  Remember pray aloud for God, your heart and spirit and also the enemy to hear. Words spoken aloud can be a whisper, but they need to be uttered out.  If you need to be discrete, then even a whisper will work. Remember words spoken in your mind, cannot be heard by the enemy.

“Dear God, please forgive me for words I have spoken into existence that brought about curses and destruction in my life.  I break every spoken curse over my life and the lives of my family.  I plea the precious blood of Jesus over our lives.  I break every spoken curse, every plot of the enemy over my life and the lives of my family.  God, please help me change my behavior.  My behavior is holding me back from becoming the person I know you created me to be.  Convict me, Holy Spirit, every time I am about to utter words of destruction, death or curses over my life or the lives of my loved ones.  God help me change by behavior regarding _________.  I am not happy with it anymore, and I know it is displeasing to you too.  God help me to speak the supernatural into every aspect of my life.  Help me pursue and desire you in every aspect of my life.  God, I need you to be the center of my life.  I need to REFOCUS on you.  Thank you, God.  In Jesus’ name, we pray.  Amen.

Amen.

If you prayed that prayer, then you are reborn as a child of God.  Pursue Him, His word and His Holy presence.  Pray to God to help you locate a faith-filled place of worship.

God bless each and every one of you.  I pray that your pursuit of God will fill your life with an abundance of joy and happiness too big to contain.

God’s words.

Well everyone, I was ready to write about the woman of God who gave a powerful message with the title of “How to believe in God (I believe in God)”, but the Holy Spirit intervened.  I was praying for God to give me direction and His words to write and describe to you the powerful message delivered to our church, but the Holy Spirit had other ideas.  He told me to put that post on hold because He wanted to expand on the message about God’s words.  So as directed, that is what this post will be about.  Here it is God’s “Ad hoc” post about “His spoken words”.

On the last post, we discussed about keeping God’s words in your mouth as we walked through the valley of our trials.  This must be very important to God right at this moment.  As I mentioned before, He has been whispering these very words to me for a couple of months now.  He has been cautioning me every time I was about to speak words that were not appropriate to utter.  He would remind me about the words I was about to speak into existence.  Think about that for a minute or so.  The words we speak out of our mouths become our future.  They leave our lips and permeate the air, bringing with it the cultivation of either blessings or curses.  Wow!!!!!  Do you need proof?  I understand.  It is sometimes hard to understand or even comprehend that the mere words we speak become the future for us, our family members or whomever we are speaking about.  I have the proof.  God would not just make these types of statements without the proof to back it up.

In Isaiah 55:11, God’s word says: so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. See this says that God’s words cannot return void to Him.  Those spoken words have to be fulfilled.  If God’s words cannot return void, do you think our words are any different?

In Romans 4:17, God speaks about calling those things that are not as though they were. There is the proof.  See speaking things into existence is basically calling your future into existence.  That is amazing!  We can call the things God created us to be into existence.  We simply speak the opposite of what our current situation actually is.  If someone is sick and in the hospital, they speak that by Jesus’ stripes they ARE healed (Isaiah 53:5).  If someone has no money and has no idea how they are going to buy groceries, they simply say I am blessed to be a blessing (2 Corinthians 9:6).  God’s blessings are a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over in my life (Luke 6:38).  I have more than enough.

God’s word says in Hosea4:6: 6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [of My law, where I reveal My will].   What does that mean?  It means that God is a God of laws, order and process.  His laws are written in His word.  The written words of God are so powerful that even God Himself cannot change or alter them.  That is why He says this about His own word (the Holy Bible) Isaiah 40:8: The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

In simple terms, since we do not know God’s word, we have chosen to perish.  I know what you are thinking.  You are saying “Whoa, wait a minute, I haven’t chosen anything”.  In essence we all have made choices without the realization of doing so.  See God’s word says that our lack of knowledge brings the choice of perishing.  We make a choice everyday to live for God or not.  Yes, it is a choice we choose daily.   We either choose to live for God or not.  It  IS that simple.  See we think that God is complicated, but He isn’t.  I think some of us use that as an excuse saying God’s way is too complicated.  You are either for Him or against Him.  Now that IS super simple.  I don’t know about you, but I choose to be for Him.

We have to “Stop the madness” as someone once quoted, but it fits perfectly in this context.  How do we do that?  We do it with God of course.  He is the ONLY way we can stop this madness.  It is time to refocus.  Refocus and replace the unimportant things in our lives with the important things.

In saying all of that, we come back to the first step that God wants us to take to accomplish that goal – our spoken words.  Our spoken words are powerful.  Think of all the sayings we hear used everyday.  There is the saying “think about what you are saying because you can’t take it back” “think before you speak” etc.  Here is how God speaks of the spoken word.  In Psalms 37:30 God’s word says: The mouth of the righteous proclaims wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice and truth. In Proverbs 13:3, God’s word says this: The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life; The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin. In Luke 6:45 it says this: The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.  Wow, that is powerful.  That passage is saying that the words we speak are a reflection of what our heart contains.  Again, it’s made simple and not complicated.  So in essence, do we need to change our hearts to change our words? The answer is “Yes”.

God’s word also goes on to say these things about the spoken word which is the most incredible of all.  He says we speak life or death and blessings or curses with our words.  See, here is another place where it is one thing or the other.  No gray areas. Did you see what that said?  We speak blessings or curses with our tongue.  Our words carry either life or death.  Man that is incredibly powerful stuff!  I know you need proof.  Here it is.  It says in God’s word   Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. In James 3:10 it says this: 10 Out of the same mouth come both blessing and cursing.

Every word we speak out from our mouth has consequences.  WE have to decide if the consequences we speak will be good or bad.  The words spoken from our mouth becomes our or our loved ones future.  Please take a moment to think about what God is trying to say to us.  Have you ever heard a mother say to her son for example: “You are just like your father.”  “You are going to turn out just like him (his father)”.  “You will end up in prison or worse dead”.  If this young man accepts what is being spoken into his heart & mind, then he has accepted this lie of the enemy.  His mother has just spoken a curse over his life.

Those are negative words (curses) spoken into existence over that particular young man and over his future by his own mother.  Stop for a moment and think about all the words you have spoken just last week.  Were they negative or positive words?  Now, think about ALL the words spoken in our lifetime.  Wow!  That is really something to stop and think about.  How many negative words have we uttered into existence over ourselves, our families and our friends?  We have to stop this madness.

Are you wondering what you can do about someone speaking curses against you?  There is an answer.  God and the blood of our precious savior Jesus is the answer. You can apply the powerful blood that was shed on the cross by Christ over every negative spoken word.  If someone is trying to say negative things about you right to your face, refuse it!  Do not accept their curses into your heart and mind.  Respond right back to them saying aloud “I do NOT accept what you are saying about my life and future. That is NOT God’s plan for my life.  I do NOT receive those lies”.  That is what they are.  They are spoken lies trying to entrap your heart, your mind, your spirit and your future.  REFUSE it!!!!   Be bold.  Speak boldly that you know that this is NOT God’s plan for your life.  God says He comes to give us life and give it more abundantly.  So these negative words do NOT line up with God’s words and plan for you. We combat the lies of the enemy by speaking God’s word back to the enemy.  That is how Jesus fought Satan when Satan was trying to temp Him during Jesus’ 40 day fast.  Jesus fought him verbally with the word of God. Every item Satan tempted Jesus with a particular thing or item, Jesus responded by saying “It is written” followed by God’s word.

God’s word is our weapon to combat and defeat the enemy!!!! Now that is a statement and a half.  That is how God describes His own INCREDIBLE written word.  In Ephesians 6:17 God describes His word as a sword (a weapon).  Remember God says we perish for lack of knowledge.  As evidence, please think for a moment where your bible is right at this moment.  Is it somewhere collecting dust?  Do you own a bible?  Our lack of knowledge of His provided weapon causes us to live a diminished life.  Here is something key to know and remember.  God’s word is so incredible that our enemy knows it by heart.  He knows the bible front and back.

So now that we know what God’s word says about the tongue and words, let’s summarize what we need to refocus on:

A) We have to change our hearts. The words we speak are an overflow of what our hearts hold. We have to pray and ask God to change our hearts.  We cannot change our hearts or our words by ourselves.  This requires God’s help because He is the only one who can make this possible.  Here is something you may not realize.  God can do that for our loved ones too.  This is possible through our intercessory prayer.  Again, prayer is our way of asking for God’s help with a certain situation in our lives.  Intercessory prayer is in essence standing in the “place” of our loved ones.  Through intercessory prayer, we ask God to help someone else.  Also, remember we also have the right to pray for our loved ones, especially those under our authority like our children (and even our hairy babies).

B) We have to train our words and be mindful of what words are being spoken from our lips. Do they contain life or death? We have to keep God’s word in our mouth, especially when we are going through a trial. We have to speak victory and blessings into existence.  Things may look bleak and hopeless during a current situation but we have to speak God’s word to overcome our situation.  See when we are speaking God’s word, our focus is REFOCUSED onto God and not on our situation.

C) We have to place God back into the most important place in our lives – 1st place. When we do this, we will see every aspect of our lives come into line with God. This is evident in God’s word. In Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

D) We MUST destroy every negative word ever spoken over our lives. We do that by applying the POWERFUL blood of Jesus over these curses. See our culture thinks it has made the name of Jesus “weak” by using it in vain, but the devil is a liar!!!  The blood of Jesus will NEVER lose its power.

It’s a simple prayer.  We ask God almighty to break and destroy every curse ever spoken over our lives with the blood that was shed on the cross.  The blood shed by our beloved Savior demolishes every curse, plot and plan that may have been spoken against us.  Once again, remember we have the authority to destroy the spoken curses over our loved ones too (hairy babies too).

In closing, I pray that God will help you focus on His words and give the realization of the words you are about to speak into existence.  Do they contain life or death? I pray that He will give you a hunger for His written word. Also, that He will be placed back into 1st place in our lives.  Remember to P.U.S.H (Pray until something happens).  Prayer changes everything!  God Bless you all.

I believe.

Today Pastor James Jacobs http://wordoflifecfc.com/ spoke on the message of “I believe”.  He preached on expecting B.I.G (believe in God) things from God. He also preached about how our incorrect thinking can retard both our own thoughts and our faith.  Also, he spoke of how our thoughts can stop us from reaching our goals.  Explaining how the enemy comes in to steal or discourage us by using our minds and thoughts against us.  When we believe the enemies lies, we are willing to give up or even walk away from our God-given dreams and promises. Remember what God say in Mark 11:24:  Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Pastor Jacobs preached about having faith.  That each of us has enough faith to face the trials we are currently facing.  We need to stop comparing our faith against another believer’s faith.  We have to remember that our faith can change our resume. Faith qualifies us for incredible things in the supernatural where in the natural we may be unqualified. In God’s word, it speaks about faith this way: Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Also, when our current faith level carries us through the trials we are currently facing, we reach a new level of faith.  Our faith is increased.  See when we come out of our trials victorious, we become living testimonies to God’s tremendous greatness.  In essence, speaking & hearing our own words spoken through our testimonies, increase our own faith. It also increases our amazement of God, our level of love for God and our appreciation about our amazing God.

Pastor Jacobs also preached about God’s promises.  We have to remember that God’s promises have NO EXPIRATION date!!!  God’s promises never expire.  Hallelujah and AMEN. I pray the knowledge of that seeps into your spirit, heart and mind. I pray that this revelation will start to take root, flourish and bloom.  I pray the fire of the Holy Spirit I feel right now seeps through these words as you read them.  I pray that this knowledge catches fire in your spirit.  God let it be a fire that can never be extinguished.  Our God given promises never die!  Praise your Holy name God.

How many of us have put our dreams on the shelves or totally given up on our dreams?  Our job is to keep reminding God of the promises He gave us.  Pastor gave the example of the little boy that keeps reminding his mother of the things she had promised him. “But mamma you said….” is what the little boy says over, over, over and over again relentlessly.  We have to be relentless too.  Do any of you know how old Sarah was when she finally gave birth to the child that God had promised her?  She was 91 years old.  We have to hold on to our promises.  Don’t relinquish hold of the miraculous promises that are ahead of you. Those promises contain your divine purpose.

How amazing is our God that He thought of a plan (a divine purpose) for each and every one of us?  That is how much He loves and cares for you.  He made a plan for you BEFORE you were born.  You were planned for by the Master of all creation.  That is powerful stuff!  If we could just get that into our spirit and never let go of it, we could change the world.  You talk about keeping some Godly words in your mouth.  There it is!!! Let that sink in for a minute.  Let that INCREDIBLE thought marinate in your mind. God planned your future before you were born.  He laid out an amazing plan for you.  God’s word says in Jeremiah 1:5: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Oh my goodness!!!  I receive that for myself by faith in Jesus’ name.  We are consecrated to be a prophet to all nations – world changers.  That is what our God says about us.  Wow! Please receive that for yourself too.

Pastor Jacobs also spoke about keeping a word in our mouth.  That word has to be God’s words in our mouth.  What an incredible statement!  God has been whispering these very words into my spirit for the last few months. To hear these very words confirmed through the man of God’s message was amazing.

See as we go through our trials we have to speak God’s words.  Oh my goodness!  This little statement warrants more posts all by itself.  I will be writing additional posts about this soon.  I truly feel in my spirit that God wants to expand on this subject.  God is ready for us to step into a new dimension of Him by using His words.  Please meditate about this statement and pray for revelation about this.  Revelation is the key!  Right now I pray in Jesus name that God gives you focus on speaking His words.  Remember that our words have power!  I pray that through your diligence to seek Him and His wisdom that God will give you divine insight on this subject.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

In closing, Pastor Jacobs gave us a list of things to know about God:

1) God wants us blessed & to succeed.  Joshua 1:8 says:  8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

2) God wants you to be blessed and prosperous.  In Deuteronomy 28:2-6 God’s word says: All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you pay attention to the voice of the Lord your God. “You will be blessed in the city, and you will be blessed in the field.  “The [a]offspring of your [b]body and the produce of your ground and the offspring of your animals, the offspring of your herd and the young of your flock will be blessed.  “Your basket and your kneading bowl will be blessed.  “You will be blessed when you come in and you will be blessed when you go out.

3) God wants you live righteous.  Titus 2:12 says: 12 It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age.

4) God want us to believe.  His word says in Mark 9.23: 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Thank you for your continued support.  I pray that God blesses each of you beyond anything you can contain.  God bless you all.

God, heal our land.

The most pressing issue facing our nation (the U.S.) today is the presidential election.  Wait…I see you.  Don’t sigh or roll your eyes thinking to yourself “Here is another person trying to convince me of whom to vote for”. Now I am not going to blog as an independent, republican or democrat.  I would not use God’s platform to push one agenda over another one.  But instead read as God’s perspective is discussed.

See God does NOT operate in confusion.  He knows who He wants to win this upcoming election.   We need to ask Him who to vote for. How do we do that?  We do it through prayer.  We need to pray without ceasing for God’s will to be revealed to us.  See prayer is simply asking God to intervene into our lives and situations. Prayer IS that simple.  Prayer isn’t complicated or confusing.  Through prayer, we are asking for God’s help.  We are asking Him to step into our situation and help us. God is a gentleman. He will intervene when He is asked via prayer.

God’s word says that we should pray without ceasing.  In 1 Thessalonians 5:16 – 5:18  it reads: 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. We all need to be praying for divine revelation for this election.  We all need to be asking God for His will be fulfilled for this election.

See I believe in my heart that God is ready to heal and restore this land back to where it needs to be to glorify Him.  I also believe that his nation was founded on God.  Yes, yes, yes I know our founding fathers had issues but who among us is perfect?  None of us.  Only Jesus was and continues to be perfect!  God’s word says we are all sinners.  Here is what is says in Romans 3:23: 23 since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God.

This nation needs to be healed.  It’s crying out for healing.  The healing of our land, our people and the nation as a whole needs to happen soon. God’s word says in 2 Chronicles 7:14: My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.

I truly believe the answer for our land to be healed is right here in this passage.  Let’s take a closer look.  First, it starts out by God calling on the people who are called by His name. Could God be saying that if you believe that He is the one true God,  that is His son Jesus is the Living King and that the Holy Spirit is the 3rd part of the Holy Trinity that you are called by His name?  Aren’t people who believe this called Christians?  Are YOU called by God’s name?  Pray and ask Him.  Pray without ceasing.

I want to be one of those that are called by His name.  I want that desperately.  I want to make sure that when God thinks of the people called by His name that thoughts of me are ones that come to His memory.  I want Him to think of me and smile because He is proud of me.  Proud that I have done what He has asked me to do.

Secondly, it asks us to humble ourselves and pray.  There it is.  Be humble and “pray”.  As we pray, God wants us to crave His presence and place Him back in the rightful place in our lives.  That place being FIRST place. Thirdly, seeking His face is seeking for God’s glory.  The face of God is glorious!

And fourth, He asks us to turn from our wicked ways by stopping our sins.  This can be accomplished by praying for God to change our hearts, thoughts, and ways and also by asking Him for forgiveness.  Be bold in asking for forgiveness!  Ask Him to forgive you and this nation for its transgressions.  We are citizens of this great nation.  We absolutely have the right to seek forgiveness for our nation. He has already given us the authority over this earth.  The bible says that God has given us authority over our land.  In Genesis 1:26 it says:  26 Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.”. After seeking forgiveness, it says He will hear us, forgive our sins and heal our land.

See that passage (2 Chronicles 7:14) is a promise from God – instructions even.  He is saying if we do these things listed in that passage then He WILL heal our land. It doesn’t say maybe He will heal our land or He could heal our land.  His promise says He WILL forgive us and heal our land.  There is one thing that I want you to understand above everything else in this post.  God keeps His promises!

In closing, we need to remember 4 important things.  First, how critical this election is. I cannot express this enough. Secondly, we need to place God back into first place in each and every one of our lives.  Thirdly, we need to give God the authority for His will to be fulfilled.  Fourth, we need to pray without ceasing.  God bless.

My first post-introduction

First and foremost, I want to give all praise and glory to God and our living King Jesus.  I thank Him for using me to bring glory and honor to His name.  I thank Him for constantly reminding me of who He created me to be.  I thank Him for never giving up on me every time I fell short of what He needed me to do.  I thank and love Him more than I can explain because He never left me, never forsook me and always loved me more than I ever deserved.

Secondly, I want to thank Pastor J. Jacobs.  He is a true man of God that  leads with integrity and humility.  I thank him for his encouragement and direction. The church he leads has awoken me with a worship and hunger for God that God desires from all of us.

I want to thank my sons for loving me through thick and thin. Also, I want to say thank you to Eric Highland http://jeepsies.com/.  I know meeting Eric was divinely appointed.

This blog is inspired by God to lead people back to Him.  I pray that God will use me in a mighty way to guide us all to what’s important to Him.  With that being said, please know that this blog is spiritual and not religious.  I pray that you will read every post with open eyes. Listen with open ears (in cases of posts being read to you). Always receive God’s words with an open heart and spirit.  God bless.
