How do you find happiness?

Don'tWorryBeHappy

Right now, there are so many unhappy people in this world. Depression, drug use, addictions, etc. are all on the rise. Why? Because people are not happy.
For months, we have been locked in our homes due to the COVID-19 virus.
Many were not able to work. If these people had been able to work, that would have relieved some of the pressure of the lockdowns.
On top of that, we were told not to travel and not to see our families
Our leaders told us not to go to our places of worship and not to gather together for sporting events.
Now, just as things are easing up on the lockdowns, we have had mass protests, rioting, looting, and all-out chaos in the streets.
Next, we were told to stay inside to be safe and not get caught up in the craziness that could erupt.
Then, if there weren’t enough, people’s businesses were burned down, thus delaying the return to work for a lot of people. In some instances, this is a permanent job loss as those business owners could not afford fire insurance.
Every day is an opportunity to find happiness in your life.
Now there are more unhappy people than ever. For our sanity, we must find some happiness in our lives.
Happiness cannot be found in a thing or a person. It can’t be found in a new car, a new house, a new significant other, or in the hottest new tech gadget.
Happiness is found in the gratefulness of how blessed you are.
Many ask, “What is the key to happiness in life?  Many search for years looking for the answer.  Some pay lots of money to so called gurus, life coaches, or therapists searching for this answer.
Here is the answer plain and simple: It is gratefulness. Happiness begins with thankfulness.

I know it seems simple and you might not even thing that it works but try it.  Take one day and speak only thankfulness for everything in your life.

Speaking thankfulness changes your atmosphere.  It clears all the clouds of doubt and disbelief away.

It allows you to see better.  It opens ups your eyes to see new things. It lets you see just how bless you truly are.
Some people will think they have nothing to be happy for, but that is incorrect.
Find at least one thing you are grateful for in your life. No matter how small or minute it is.
Thank God that you woke up this morning safely in your own nice, warm, beautiful bed, that you had food to eat, that you woke up to live another day of life, that your family is going well.
If you are blessed enough to have a job at this time, be thankful for that. Be grateful that you have the opportunity to provide for your family. Be happy that you are not relying on anyone or anything to help take care of your family.
Remember, gratefulness always invites happiness in.
If you don’t think those things are not worthy of being grateful for, then you are not aware of the extreme poverty that a lot of people outside the U.S. are facing.
If you are an American citizen, you are more prosperous and incredibly blessed. More so than a majority of the world’s population.
With things so tense and ever-changing, we have to focus on things that will sustain us.
There is one thing that never changes. That is God. He is always loving, faithful, and dependable.
Start looking for the things in your life to give thanks for.
Don’t be embarrassed if it is a tiny thing. Starting little will always leave room for big things to take its place.
Giving thanks to God for small blessings opens your eyes to seeing all blessings He has bestowed upon you.

God, I choose happiness today.

God, help me find happiness in my life!

Are you happy? Are you delightfully happy? Do you ask yourself all the time, “What is wrong with me? Why aren’t I happy? When will I finally be happy? What has to happen for me to be truly happy?
Here is a small nugget. Happiness can start today with gratitude. Yes, gratitude. Something so simple but so beneficial.
Gratitude can change your attitude, change your outlook, change the way you see things. It can also change the way you treat other people.
Gratefulness causes a different mindset. It changes the atmosphere.
Gratefulness improves our mental, emotional, and physical well being.
Studies have found that gratefulness improves our happiness, our emotions, our health, our self-esteem, and our sleep. It also increases our empathy and produces fewer aches and pains.
Gratefulness reminds us of how far God has brought us.
Gratefulness brings HOPE to where God will take us next!
The voice of gratefulness used regularly will always help you to speak positive responses and see things in a positive light.
Gratefulness will always invite the blessings of God to overtake your life.
You might be saying that there isn’t much in your life to be grateful for.
There has to be at least one thing, no matter how small and insignificant others might think that one thing is.
Focus on that one thing. Be grateful for that one thing and watch as God starts to open your eyes to see other things to be thankful for.
Once you see the possibilities of additional items to be grateful for, God will start to bring opportunities for more blessings and more gratefulness.
Is being grateful all the time an easy thing to do? The answer is, “no!” If it were an easy thing to do, everyone would do it.
It takes practice, dedication, patience, and diligence.
Complaining all the time is a lot easier than being thankful.
When you compare the outcomes of complaining against the results of being thankful, thankfulness wins hands down.

God, help us worship our way thru the storms!

trust-god-woodenWP8.24.19

We all pray for storms never to darken our horizons. A lot of us seek a life with less drama and bad situations.
Some of us work very hard to make the right choices and live a drama-free life.
But even make all the right choices does not mean that storms will always go in a different direction.
Testing of our faith will cause it to grow.
Like a good teacher, our knowledge must be tested. Testing of our faith is the same. It must be tested.
Growth in our faith and knowledge increases our faith, wisdom, and understanding.
The storm you battle will not only bring you victory, God glory, but it will also bear your testimony.
Testing brings forth testimonies of just how wonderful our God is. Your testimonies will assist others in facing the same or similar situations.
So should be happy as we see an impending storm approach? Or perhaps even be pleased as a storm hits us by surprise? Well if you want the absolute truth then yes, we should be ecstatic when a storm hits our lives.
Those storms come for a reason. We have to grow. Without testing, there is no growth.
Am I saying that a life full of a storm after storms is fair? No, of course not. But with all things, there is a reason why all those storms keep coming?
We have to figure out why our life is in so much turmoil and testing. God is a God of order. There is a reason for everything that happens in our life. And, God is never surprised by what goes on in our lives.
If He allows the storm, He knows we can conquer all thru Jesus!
So when those storms appear, be of good cheer and worship God for the victory.
Thank Him that when the storm is over, He will take you to the mountain that you would never have been able to conquer without Him.
Just as we must pass through the low, low valleys, God will take us to the highest mountains of victory!
So when that storm is coming, worship your way through it. Thank God for testing, building, and increased new faith! Thank Him for the testimonies that will come out of this storm.
Most of all, thank Him for His faithfulness. See when you are walking through a storm of poverty, unemployment, depression, sickness, etc.., most of us will see who is our true friend.

All those fair-weather friends will disappear, but God will never leave.
At the beginning of the storm, through the storm, and at the peak of victory, He will be there. Forever faithful! Amen.

You can’t fool God!

Don’t think you can hide your true heart from God. He sees and knows all.
Some of us put up a façade to trick others into seeing what we what them to see.
We hide our addictions, our pain, our secrets, our past, our scars, our depression, our whole life behind those facades.
We pretend we are something that we are not.
We fight so hard to hide our real selves. We lie, we cheat, we deflect, we steal, and hurt others to conceal the truth of who we are from getting out.
We trick our own minds into believing the lies we tell to others. Then the ultimate betrayal to ourselves is when buying the façade we put up as the real truth. We brainwash ourselves to see our lies as the truth.
We have hidden secrets. We think that if we don’t talk about them or acknowledge them that they won’t be exposed.
We fight tooth and nail to keep our secrets hidden.
Sometimes we sweep them under the rug or don’t ever mention them. We think maybe if we never speak about those secrets that they aren’t what really happened.
If you have done this, you don’t have to be ashamed of your past. God loves you no matter what you have done and where you came from.
God knows the real you. You can’t hide the truth from God. But here is the good news for you. No matter what you have done, God loves you, anyway.
But here is the great news. God loves you, regardless of your past. He allows you to start over. God brings a reset in your life. He is the fresh start you have been looking for.
God is all-forgiving. His love is unconditional, never-failing, never-ending, all-consuming, and He will never judge or shame you. He will never stop loving you, regardless of what you have done.

Now, that is the ultimate unconditional true love!

Believe the words He speaks about you!

blessed-by-godWP8.24.19

Has God told you who He created you to be and what He created you to do for His glory?
If He has, you must take His promises and always utter them aloud to yourself. You have to do this frequently.
Post them on your fridge, post them on your bathroom mirror, post them on a promise board, post them where you will see them, read them, and be reminded of those words often.
You must consistently remind yourself of God’s truth. If you don’t tell yourself the truth, no one else is going to tell it to you.
Listen to the truth God has spoken about you. Do not doubt it, question it, and never let anyone change your mind about who God says you are.
God’s words about who you are will always uplift you. His words will never confuse you, misdirect you, undermine you, or speak ill of you.
God’s words will always uplift you, direct you, inspire you, assure you, and show His love for you.

God, help me find happiness in my life!

Learn to savor each moment of your life.

happy-children-playing-WP7.20.19

Life passes so quickly. We watch as day by day goes by faster and faster.
We must learn to enjoy life. Each of us is only bestowed one gift of life and tomorrow is promised to no one.
We were meant to enjoy life. We were not intended to be bogged down with sadness, depression, illness, loneliness, emptiness, etc.
These types of burdens are too heavy for us to carry. God never created us to bear these burdens. That is why His word tells us to cast every burden onto Him(Psa55:22).
How do you go about getting every ounce of enjoyment out of every single day?
Approach and enjoy life like a child again. Soak in every moment of life, don’t rush through life’s experiences, and learn how to savor each moment of each experience.
Learn how to take in every sight and smell.
Take plenty of photos. Photos will allow you to go back through your pictures and relive every special moment in each experience.
As a child, do you remember lying in the grass and staring into the sky as you watched each cloud drifting in the sky?
Do you remember laying there trying to see what kinds of shapes the clouds were?
You didn’t rush through all those clouds. You didn’t lay there for 5 or 10 minutes. As a child, you would lay in the grass for hours.
Do you remember as a child watching ants march up and down their anthill?
You didn’t watch and examine them for 5 or 10 minutes. You laid there and watched them for an hour or two.
Loving and living in every moment is how we can find enjoyment in our lives again. Take the time to experience new things, soak them in, don’t rush through those experiences.
Life is too precious to be rushed through it. Savoring each moment helps extend your hours, days, weeks, and months.
That extension of time is beyond priceless.

God, help me enjoy life again.

Life passes too quickly. Make sure you enjoy, take in, appreciate, and savor every moment.
Don’t focus on bills, monies due, jobs, family issues, etc. Those items bring stress, fear, and steal your joy.
Of course, those things are essential in your life but do not place all your focus on them.
Instead, focus first and foremost on God. Focus upon God will bring a different viewpoint on all other things.
When we place our focus on God, all other issues become insignificant.

Gather, agree, pray, and watch God move!

blur-pray-word-power-of-prayer-529763590.jpg

God provides us many weapons for our daily spiritual battles.
Prayer is one of those weapons. It puts you in alignment with the will of God.
Your prayer puts God in charge of the situations you are facing and permits Him to move in those specific situations.
Remember, if one can put one thousand to flight, two can put 10,000 to flight.
The combined, agreed, fervent, and unceasing prayer is pure POWER.
When we join together in prayer, Jesus is always with us. His presence gives our prayer a supernatural boost.
Never doubt the power of your prayer and never give up on your prayers! Pray without ceasing.
We something think that if God doesn’t answer our prayers right away that He isn’t listening or perhaps that He forgot about us.
God always hears you! He will move on your behalf!
Remember that God moves in His own time. We cannot rush Him.
