Happy New Year.

What does this new year hold?

No one knows but God, but there are two things that I know for sure this new year holds.

What are those two things?

They are promise and hope.

What is hope? It is defined in the dictionary as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

What is promise? The dictionary defines it as a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.

That is powerful! Let me repeat that definition. A promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.

What does the bible say about hope and promise?

“Hope” in Scripture means “a strong and confident expectation.” Though archaic today in modern terms, hope is akin to trust and a confident expectation.

What does the bible say about promise?

The bible is the promise of God.

Every word spoken by God is His promise for us.

Here are a few scriptures about His promise.

In Phillippians 4:19, God says:

19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4%3A19&version=ESV

What does that mean? That means that God promises to provide for all of our needs according to His riches through Christ Jesus.

Did you get that?

Your God will supply every need! Incredible!

What other promises are there in the bible?

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+41%3A10&version=ESV

In Isaiah 41:10, God’s promise says this:

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God;

I will strengthen you, and I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Wow!!! What is God saying in this promise?

He says, “Do NOT FEAR and do NOT be DISMAYED”! He is our God. He will provide us His strength, His help, and He will uphold us with His mighty hand.”

Incredible!

The bible is filled with God’s promises of love, protection, strength, provision, etc.

It is up to us to know His word (the scripture) and utilize His words and promises in our daily lives.

His written word is our weapon! We use His words to bring forth every promise He has spoken over us.

You might sit there and think that hope and promise are silly and nonsense, but I assure you they are not.

Hope is something valuable to hold on to. Without it, we become hopeless.

Hopeless people do things to others and themselves that are dangerous and potentially life-ending.

Hoping for a better new year is a great gift to ourselves and others.

Now, the promise for a better tomorrow is incredible. It provides hope as we arrive at the new year.

I believe in 2022; we will see God eradicate this horrible virus!

God sees our struggles, and He hears and listens to our pleas for help.

Many of us continue to cry out to Him. We continue to give thanks for the moving of His mighty hand.

We cannot give up our hope when it comes to Him moving to extinguish this virus and reveal the truth about its origins and all the individuals involved in its creation.

I know in my heart that this virus was not from God but will be used by God to glorify and enhance His Kingdom.

I believe in 2022, America will see a revitalization of our country and our economy.

When America’s economy is doing well, other countries’ economies will also improve.

Will these things come to pass?

I don’t know. I believe, and I have faith that they will. I am speaking those promises into our existence every day.

Yes, you heard me correctly. I am thanking God now that those things have already come to pass.

I know one thing for sure.

God is NOT done with America yet!

America is coming into Her golden age.

I believe in my heart that America will flourish like never before.

And with all that said, I am full of hope and excitement for 2022 and beyond.

I know that there will be one more outpouring of God’s spirit on this earth before we see our Messiah return again.

That outpouring hasn’t taken place yet.

I believe that too is coming soon.

We will see miracles beyond anything we could ever imagine with our own eyes.

We will see with our own eyes the sick healed, the deaf shall hear, the lame will walk, limbs will grow back, and the blind shall see.

There will be no doubt that these miracles are from God Himself.

So you see, we have a lot to be hopeful for!

I pray that God bless you and your family beyond anything you can contain in this new year.

I pray that His blessings overcome you where you are forced to share them with others.

For that is the reason He blesses us so that we may become a blessing to others.

God desires to bless us where we don’t have room enough to contain it:

Malachi 3:10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the LORD of Hosts. “See if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you blessing without measure. (biblehub.com)

Happy New Year.

God bless each of you.

God keeps you safe, sound, happy, content, and looking to Him for miracles, signs, and wonders.

In the name of Jesus, I pray this. Amen.

Start a new tradition in your family’s history of Thanksgiving.

Many of us are looking and searching for happiness.
We want to be happy. We look to other people, things, the newest gadgets, a new house, a new car, etc.
Many individuals seek personal coaches, gurus, and other programs to “find” happiness. Some of those people even spend a hefty amount to locate this elusive thing we call “happiness.”

But the answer is simple. Finding happiness isn’t elusive at all. Happiness can be found when we look at things differently.
We tell ourselves that we will be happy when we lose x number of pounds, when we finally get married, when we find that special someone, we have been looking for such a long time, when we have a family, when we get rich, etc.
We tell ourselves when this particular event happens, then we will be delighted, but is that true? And we have to think about when exactly will that event take place in our lives?
Life is too short to put off genuinely being happy and content.
Now here is the very simple solution.
Be thankful. Wow! Yep, short and sweet.
See, being thankful changes your attitude, changes how you see things, and invites new possibilities into your life.
Being thankful opens your eyes to see all the beauty around you.
Now there has to be something in your life to be thankful for. Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are celebrating being thankful.
Let that thankfulness continue on tomorrow, next week, next month, and throughout the year.
If you think that this is too simple to work, then experiment with it. Try being thankful for a week and see what happens.
Find that one thing in your life to be thankful for and focus on that. When you start there, you will begin to see other things to be grateful for that you never realized before.
See, God’s word tells us in Phil 4:6 to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Today, decide to be happy by being thankful.
I pray that your Thanksgiving a safe, blessed, and most of all, full of happiness.
God bless you.

Veteran’s Day

When was the last time you said “thank you” to a Veteran? When was the last time you told them how necessary their sacrifice was?
Today, that sacrifice means more than ever.
Today, we are watching those freedoms that our Veterans fought so valiantly for being pulled out from under our feet.
Those in power seek to take away every freedom bestowed on us by God and defended by our brave servicemen and women.
Even though things appear bleak, do not give up and do not stop fighting.
If our Veterans can keep fighting no matter how complex their mission is, we can surely keep fighting too.
Most of us will never understand how brutal their fights were. Most of us will never be called upon to lay our lives down in service to our countrymen, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a job to complete too.
We all have a role to play. The job of defending our freedoms does not solely fall at the feet of our brave armed forces. We, too, have a job to do. We need to keep our voices raised when we see our freedoms being stripped away.
God, give us the same bravery, endurance, and strength that you have gifted our servicemen and women with.
Father, let us focus on others and not on ourselves. God, let us dedicate our fight to those who laid down their lives for us.
God, help us fight to save America. Father, most of all, let us not grow weary as we continue to fight those who seek to destroy America, our freedoms, our Godly values, our heritage, and all that America stands for. In Jesus’ name, we agree and pray. Amen.
To our Veterans, I say God bless you and thank you.
Thank you for caring for your country and each of us more than you do for yourself.
Thank you for defending our freedoms so bravely.
The price you pay is one most of us will never understand and one we can never repay.
We say thank you for the sacrifice you have given to each of us and our beloved America.

The fall of Afghanistan will not be the downfall of American bravery, courage, and resilience.

To all those who are laughing at America, know this, America is not done.

America has an unbreakable resilience.

Our brave American’s don’t know what the word quit means.

We will make a way when everyone has counted us out.

Once again, evil has woken up an American sleeping giant.

We have one thing in our corner that no one is thinking about. That is God and our faith.

See, America was founded on a God that never stops fighting for us.

Right now, at this very moment, brave American’s are planning for a victory so big that only God can bring it to pass.

Right now, we don’t know how it will happen, but we know it will happen.

Right now, our brave American veterans who have so courageously fought for us before are packing their bags, and with their faith that knows no bounds, they will be victorious!

In the name that is about all names, Jesus, our Savior, we call forth our victory.

In the name of Jesus, our Savior, we call on Godly protection for every brave veteran making the journey to save our stranded American citizens and our allies.

In the name of Jesus, we call on every angel to stand in the divine protection of each brave veteran and enlisted service person.

God, You will make this impossible situation victorious for us. In the name of Jesus, we call forth this victory.

God, let Your name and the name of our Savior fill the mouths of our veterans and enlisted soldiers.

God, listen and move when they call on Your name.

God, we will see and hear with our own eyes and ears about Your miraculous move to save America.

Forever, Your name will go down in history as the God whose hand moved in a powerful way to save America as Her citizens called out to You for divine assistance.

Father, make a way for every person responsible for this utter and disastrous failure to bring our citizens and troops homes safely, face justice. God, let the truth come out. God, bring forth whistleblowers so the validity of their disastrous decisions can be made known.

God, Your word says that secret things come to light (Luke 8:17).

God, let those responsible for this mess and their evil lies and deeds be known to all humanity!

God, we decree and declare this to be so in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior.

God, restore America and Her greatness.

God, bless America once again. Father, I know you aren’t done with Her. I know She will shine brightly once again like never before.

God, finally, we lift all those 13 American servicemen and women who passed away this past week.

God, be with their families, take every ounce of pain and grief away from them, and replace their sorrow with joy. God, let them know that their sacrifice is not and will never be in vain.

God, fill them with a peace that passes understanding. Holy Spirit, we call upon Your promise in Isiah 61:3. God, Your word says that You will give  3to console the mourners in Zion— to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.

God, let them know that the American people will never forget the bravery of their loved ones who served so courageously.

Father, finally, we ask that You bring all those responsible for killing and maiming so many innocent people to justice. God let all the world know who they are. Father, they cannot hide from You.

We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Memorial Day

As we say “thank you” to every brave service person who fought to defend all of our freedoms, we also wonder about where America is heading.
I wonder what the families who gave the ultimate sacrifice think about watching America spiral downward into socialism.
Their precious loved ones pledged their life to fight, protect, and defend America from all enemy’s foreign and domestic, yet, some who are now in seats of authority are pushing America farther and farther into the pits of socialism.
Those brave individuals took an oath to defend our Constitution, yet their families are forced to watch as those in positions of power who took that same oath continue to shred the rights of American citizens.
And what of those families who’s brave soldiers paid the ultimate price with their lives to defend America and Her freedoms? What must they be thinking and feeling?
Their sons, daughters, husbands, wives, sisters, or brothers paid the ultimate price to ensure America remains free.
They know that freedom is never free. It is always paid by the blood, sweat, and tears of brave soldiers and their families.
God help America as She spirals into a pit of despair.
God help us all!
Now, it is up to all of us. Each one of us must continue the fight for freedom.
Now, it is not only left up to our courageous soldiers and their families.
It is now our fight. Once again, when I speak of fighting, I never mean acts of violence.
Violence is never the answer and only begets more violence.
Our fight now is our with our voice. We must speak up and tell those in places of power “no.”
We do not condone them changing our laws that will lessen our God-given rights. We must say to them that we will not allow America to become a place of socialism.
Socialism never works and only leads to the increased suffering of the very poor. Socialism always increases the power of the elites and leaves those with no control at their mercy.
We must tell these elites that we do not condone their policies. We must say to them that we do not condone using the brave men and women of our Armed Services to protect them as their personal security team.
America, raise your voice and say “no.” Today on Memorial Day, we must honor our courageous soldiers with our thanks and our raised voices.
We must let them know that their sacrifices are not in vain.
America’s silent majority must raise your voices! Call, write, or email your governors, senators, representatives, and the White House and tell them “no.” Let them know that they cannot turn our country into a place of despair and suffering.
The silent majority must speak up now at the ballot boxes. We must continue to vote at every opportunity that presents itself. Continue to promote with your vote those who love America, God, and our freedoms.
If you are one of those people, consider running for your local school boards, city council, mayor, state legislative, or government positions.
That is how we use our voice. We have to follow thru and vote those individuals out of office who do not seek to protect our Constitution.
We must demand election laws that protect the integrity of our votes. We do this by writing, calling, or emailing our state and government officials and require that laws are written and passed that will protect the will and the voice of the citizens of America.
That is how we continue to say “thank you” to every courageous soldier by upholding what they so bravely fought for. The American dream is still alive and well, and we must fight for it!
Happy Memorial Day.

Good Friday.

Can you imagine what Jesus felt this morning? I imagine He felt alone, abandoned, petrified, unsure, and wanted to back out of the events that would occur.
Remember, Jesus was human for a reason. He became a man to experience every emotion and feeling we as humans feel. God wanted firsthand knowledge of what it was to walk through a human life.
God also needed a man of flesh who was also God to walk through His life as the perfect unblemished, sinless God.
Jesus had to become the perfect sacrifice. A sacrifice for all humankind. A gift so perfect that no other person could or would have to walk His path again. Jesus was and will always be the perfect, sinless, Lamb of God. The blood shed at the cross is so powerful that NOTHING can defeat it. By the blood of Jesus, we are set free. By the strips He bore on His back, we are healed. Praise the holy Lamb of God!
No other person could have taken Jesus’ place. No other sacrifice could have the effect that Jesus’ sacrifice did.
God knows everything thing you face today. Nothing is too big for Him. He knows everything you feel because He experienced it via His Son Jesus.
Today is the perfect day to place God first in your life.
If you would like to accept Jesus as your personal Savior, pray this prayer with me. Perhaps you are backslidden. Today is also the perfect day to renew your walk with God. Pray with me:
God, I am a sinner. Forgive me for my sins. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me. I believe Jesus is your only begotten Son. I believe He died on the cross, and on the third day, He ascended to heaven and is forever seated at Your right hand. I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. God, come into my life and use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Good Friday.

half-crown-thorns-purpleWP4.19.19lg

Today we celebrate our glorious Savior, Jesus. We celebrate the life He gave for every one of us.
He gave His life willingly for each one of us as He took our place on that retched cross.
He was sinless, yet He bore each one of our sins on that cross.
He defeated death, sickness, sin, and every burden at that cross. In doing so, we don’t have to carry the burdens our of sins.
He suffered through beatings, mockery, hate, thrones driven into His skull, and the agonizingly slow death of affixation.
I can never tell Him thank You enough! I am forever grateful.
He gave us freedom from the overwhelming price of our sins which is a price we can never pay. JESUS PAID IT ALL!
Today, if you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, please repeat these words with me:
Jesus, I am a sinner, forgive me! Father, cleanse me with the precious blood of our Savior, Jesus. God, let me seek, know, and understand You like no one else does.
God throw each one of my sins in the sea of forgetfulness never to be remembered by You again.
I receive Jesus, as my personal Savior. Today, I am free from sin, death, and every burden.
God, bless me with a knowledge of who You are.
Thank You for loving me the way that you do, never giving up on me, and for pursuing me relentlessly.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

We should be thanking God for his blessings.

magnifying-glassWP2.16.19

I know life is crazy, unpredictable, and feels very unstable right now for all of us.

It seems like every passing day brings something else to deal with.
We cannot focus on those negative things that are surrounding us.
There has to be one thing you can find to be thankful for.
This morning, I was grateful that the sun was shining, the traffic during my commute was so very easy, and that I filled my car with gas for $20.
I cannot remember the last time I was able to fill up my gas tank with $20.
I was ecstatic about that $20.
I know you might think it is silly that be so happy about the $20, but isn’t it the little things that are going to carry us over this difficult time.
We have to find the good things in our lives right now to be thankful for.
If we don’t, the darkness, heaviness, depression, anger, and frustration will overtake us.
Here is the best part, once you find that one thing, then start thanking God for that one thing, you will find a second thing, then a third thing, and so on.
Soon you will have a list of things you are grateful for. With your list and your worship of gratefulness, your spirit will be lifted, the heaviness on HAS to leave, and your outlook will change.
With the worship of gratefulness, you will change the atmosphere. Once your atmosphere changes, then your outlook will see everything differently.
Once you see things differently, you will start to recognize more and more things to be thankful for.
You have to start somewhere. Even the smallest thing can be used. Right now, I know a lot of us only have small things to work with right now but remember, Jesus started in a little insignificant place and look where God took Him!
Use the small things that seem so insignificant and see what God does with them.

God is faithful verses to pray through this deadly virus.

coronavirus_2.29.20WP

There seem to be more and more things to be afraid of nowadays. There is global warming, overpopulation, food shortages, viruses, crops infected with deadly diseases, etc. Now we have added Coronavirus to the mix.
Sometimes it is easy to become overwhelmed with fear and anxiety, but we have to remember God is still in charge.
There is no need to be fearful because God is aware of what is going on. He holds tomorrow in His hands.
When we are fearful or filled with anxiety, we are telling God that we have more belief in our fear than in Him. We are saying to God that He isn’t God in our life. We are saying to God that fear and anxiety are a god in our lives.
We are letting fear and anxiety control us when we should be in control and use our worship to drive out each feeling of fear and anxiety.
We should be worshipping, giving Him thanks, and telling Him how grateful we are that we are healthy, that no virus will destroy us, no sickness will cause us death, that we will LIVE and NOT die from any disease or illness.
We should be saying to God how amazing He is because He protects the righteous.
Now right about here, you might be thinking about that lie you told yesterday, or about the money, you stole last week, or about the drugs you consumed the previous month. Perhaps about the incident of the liquor, you drank last night, or even about that sexual liaison you had last night with someone you are not married to.
Right about now, you might be thinking, “how can God protect me? I am not the righteousness of God”. Well, I have great news for you. We are all sinners! We have all sinned and continue to sin every day. None of us are nor will ever be perfect.
But, there is one who is perfect, and His name is Jesus. He died on the cross for each of us.
Yes, none of us are indeed righteous, BUT the blood of Jesus makes us the righteousness of God!!!!
How is that for great news???
To lay claim to the incredible benefit, you must seek out God and ask Jesus to become your personal Savior.
You might say that this is unfair. That God is forcing you to accept Christ to receive His protection, but the truth is that He isn’t forcing you.
You don’t have to seek God out, seek Jesus, and then ask Jesus to become your personal Savior.
You don’t have to choose to do this. God blessed each of us with free will. We have the intention to say, “no, thank you” when it comes to accepting Christ as your personal Savior.
But if there were a day or time to accept Jesus as your Savior, wouldn’t today be that day? The days we are living in are full of uncertainty. If there were ever a time to seek God out, this would be it.
If you think that things will get better and turn around, they probably will, but what happens when the next virus shows up? There will be more deadly viruses with more deadly outcomes.
Now you might even think that God won’t protect you. Again, totally your choice to believe that. God will not force Himself on you. We always have free will to say ‘No” to Him.
Some of you might even think that God does not exist. You may say that if God existed, why would He allow this virus to become so deadly and kill so many people? Here is the truth. God is not punishing us! God does not like to see us suffer! God loves us with a love that we cannot even begin to fathom.
We, as humans, have disobeyed God’s word and His commandments. All of us living and not disobeyed God at some point. When we disobey God, we open the door for the devil to wreck havoc in all our lives. We have allowed through our disobedience, open doors for the devil to enter, bring all his lies, his death, and his destruction.
What is our recourse? It is forgiveness, of course. Each of us must seek forgiveness from God daily, seek out our Savior Jesus, pray for divine protection, worship, and seek God’s face daily.
Now for those who want to seek God and Jesus as your Savior, please pray this prayer with me:

Heavenly Father I believe that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God came to earth to be the Savior of the world, and that by His death on the cross, He paid the price for the sin of the world, so that whosoever believes on Him, would not perish, but have everlasting life.

Thank You for Jesus and thank You for my free gift of Salvation. Thank You that Jesus took my place on the cross.  Thank You that by believing in His name, I am forgiven of my sins and brought into fellowship with my heavenly Father.

Lord, I turn from all my prideful sins and from everything that is dishonoring to Your name.  I pray that I would grow in grace, in a knowledge of Jesus, until I come to a spiritual maturity.

Thank You Father for Your wonderful gift of salvation and thank You that by believing I am now Your child – in Jesus name I pray,

Amen
There, it is just that simple! You have now accepted Jesus as your personal Savior. Now, seek God, His word, pray, find a tremendous bible-based church that believes in the Holy Trinity, and seek out God’s protection.
Here are some prayers to pray for the protection of your family, yourself, etc.:
https://connectusfund.org/7-spiritual-warfare-prayers-for-protection

Also, do not forget about the armor of God. It is a powerful tool of God that we can use and apply every day to ourselves and each one of our family members.
Please find that prayer here:
https://www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/your-daily-prayer/a-prayer-to-put-on-the-armor-of-god-your-daily-prayer-october-17-2016.html

Now, will you pray with me for those who have lost family members to this terrible virus?
God, we come in agreement. Help each person who is suffering from the loss of a loved one from this deadly Coronavirus. We lift them to You. We ask You to heal their hearts. We ask that their sorrows come to an end, and we ask that they seek You.
Holy Spirit, we call on you now to comfort them. We ask the Holy Spirit that you replace their garment of sorrow with the garment of joy and peace. We ask that their hearts will turn to God. We ask for their suffering to end now. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
