During this pandemic, here is a bible verse of encouragement.

7.11.20 This post was written back in March of this year. God brought to attention that perhaps there are people out there looking for places to find the words and correlating scripture for things like protection, healing, breaking fear etc.

When He did that, I decided to repost this. Remember how powerful prayer is. Never doubt its power and never allow anyone to talk you out of prayer because they believe it is useless.

Our prayer is pure power.  It is our communication with our God who is all powerful and holds all power. Our prayer asks Him to intervene in our lives and situations. Remember God’s word in Deuteronomy 31:6.

Never give up on prayers.  If possible, come in agreement with someone about the things you are praying for. Our agreed prayer is power multiplied.

What does God’s name say about Him? Do you know all the names of God?
Here are just a few of them.
Emmanuel – God with us.

God’s word is unchangeable, unfaltering, unwavering, and will stand forever(Matt24:35).
God’s word cannot be altered even by Him.
God holds His word above Himself.
What does this mean for us? Well, this says that God’s word will not fail us. His word will come to pass. His word is our weapon to use against the chaos of this world.
As we apply our daily armor of God, His word is referenced as our sword, which is our weapon!
His name is our peace, our healing, our provision, our protection, our restorer, our defender, our victory, etc.
His name is all the things we will ever need during our lifetime.
So how can you benefit from His word and His name right now? Well, that is the perfect question to ask.
If you believe God is God, that He is who He says He is, that His word cannot fail and that His word is a powerful weapon, then you have won half the battle.
Right now, we are facing a deadly disease. Now is the time we need God’s presence, His direction, and His answers for this difficult time.
God is not like us, and He does not do things the way we do. His ideas, His thoughts, His wisdom, His knowledge is above our same traits. This is why He is God.
We think words aren’t a big deal. We say whatever we want whenever we want, never giving a second thought about the impact those spoken words will have.
The words we speak will either cause life or death. Our words will take us on a path of blessings or curses. Whomever we speak words over, we, therefore, have impacted their life in some way, shape, or form.
Negative words spoken by other people over us can be denied or unaccepted by us.
Again, using the utterance of spoken words, we have the right to accept words spoken by someone over us.
Again, using the power of words, we have the right to deny spoken words of death over our lives.
See, words are potent! God used words to create the universe. He spoke the sun, the moon, the starts, the plant, all wildlife, the ocean, etc. into existence with His mere words.
Just like our Father in heaven, our words have power too!
We can speak things into existence, as long as they align with God’s will for our lives, according to God’s word.
If we are sick, we can speak our healing into existence using God’s word (https://www.openbible.info/topics/with_his_stripes_we_are_healed).
If we are addicted, we can break the power of addiction over our lives using God’s word (https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/bible-verses-about-addiction/).
If we are afflicted with depression, we can speak God’s word over our lives or the lives of our loved ones and break depression (https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/depression-bible-verses/).
If we are facing a world pandemic, we can speak God’s word to call for His safety and protection over our family and our loved ones (https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/bible-verses-about-protection/).
If we are facing the loss of a job and the ability to provide a living for our family, we can speak God’s word of blessings and prosperity over our lives (https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God~s-Provision).
We need to remind God of His word all the time. Not that He forgets His word but to build our faith.
In essence, to tell God, this is who You are, and this is what You said You would do.
Hence the verse faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ (Rom10:17).
We must hear, speak, and proclaim His word, His goodness, and His love for us all the time.
When we utter His living word over our lives at all times, this builds faith and stirs the atmosphere with our expectations.
We sit in anticipation, waiting, and watching for the miracles of God. And they must appear because we are stirring the atmosphere with our spoken utterances and with our worship.
You must know how powerful words are. Our words can bless or curse. They can lift or tear down, or they can build up or destroy.
Please don’t think that you can apply God’s principle of blessing over your life for one day and expect to see miracles the next day.
The process of speaking life, protection, provision is a lifetime daily job.
Now, I know what you are thinking. You probably think that this will be exhausting.
We are so used to instant gratification. The majority of the time, God is NOT an immediate gratification type of God.
He wants you to be in it for the long haul. He wants you to pursue Him diligently with your whole heart.
Now once you see the manifestation of God’s spoken word in your life, this will become like second nature.
At this point, you will continue to go from level to level in your faith, your blessings, and your prosperity.
Some of us will find this a little challenging to speak positive words all the time. Some of us will find it a little difficult to think before we speak.
God will help with this too. If you want to pursue this, you will have to go to God in prayer to ask for His help.
Do not be ashamed or embarrassed to ask God for help. God is not the God of guilt, shame, and embarrassment. He is always the God of caring, love, nurturing, and peace.

During this pandemic, here is a bible verse of encouragement.

knowledge-hand-turns_1.25.20WP

Words are spoken by us every single day of our lives, but do we stop and think of what we are saying with those words?
Many of us speak words without thinking twice about the weight of those words.
We speak frivolous, mean, hateful, words, or say negative things about ourselves and our family without thinking twice.
When a friend comes up to us to tell us that they are feeling well, we then proceed to speak death and destruction over them.
Instead of speaking life and telling them we will pray for them, we say things like, “wow, I bet you have diabetes.”
With those small five words, you have just spoken disease and destruction over that person.
Now, will they automatically get diabetes? Of course, they won’t, but with your spoken words, you have managed to open a door of possibility for them to become diabetic.
See your spoken words over them of disease, opens a door in their mind. It causes their mind to consider this possibility. They may mull it over in their mind over and over again. Then, they might even agree with you in their thoughts. Eventually, that leads to them saying our loud with their own words this sentence, “I think I am diabetic.”
Boom! There it is! Power is given to disease for it to come to fruition in this person’s body.
Our words have power. We have to place a filter on our thoughts and words.
We have to think of the ramifications of each spoken words that come from our lips.
Another example of how powerful our words can be is when a frustrated mom tells her son, who has gotten involved with drugs, that he will become just like his dad.
She expands her verbal abuse by saying that her son’s dad died of a drug overdose and that her son will follow suit.
Boom! This mother just pronounced death over her son! With mere words, this mother planted the idea and thoughts in her son’s mind that he would die of an overdose just like his “no-good” father.
Well, the son thinks this has to be true because his mother said so. So that son decides that there is no reason to pursue rehab or to seek help with his addiction. According to his mother, his future is set with death.
These words stick in the mind of the son, and he thinks of it constantly. Then one day, he tells his friend that he will die soon of an overdose just like his dad.
There it is, words were spoken that will bring forth the death of this young man.
When he passes away, will the mom ever know it was her words that started this downward spiral of her son?
She may never realize that her words have power and that the words she chose to speak over her son are words that he could never recover from.
Situations like these go on steadily in each one of our lives. We are confronted with situations, and we have to choose what to say. We can no longer frivolously use words.
Words have power, and they can bring forth life or death. So think which words you should use before they come out of your mouth.
Most of us have heard the phrase “think before you speak.” This phrase is a perfect example of what we are discussing right now.
Think of the words you will speak. Do those words bring life or death, do they promote positive or negative emotions? Do they promote health, joy, happiness, and a positive mind frame? Or do those words cause hurt, pain, tears, confusion, fear, and a harmful or hurtful mind frame?
Sit back and examine the words you have spoken over the past week. What did those words promote? Examine your life and the life of your loved ones.
Is there disease, poverty, anger, frustration, divorce, drugs, addictions, and depression present? If there is, then it seems the words spoken by yourself and your family members are not promoting life.
To restore God’s will for our lives, we have to become like Him. Now that is not to say that we will be perfect like Him because we will never achieve this. God and our Savior, Jesus, are the only ones who will be perfect, but our goal is to try to become more and more like them every day.
Our words have to reflect God’s will and the things that He desires for us. He wants happiness, joy, abundance, provision, and a healthy and blessed life for each of us.
God is a God of order. Blessings cannot flood your life if you continuously speak hurtful and destructive words.
Now, most of us were not taught that we have to choose our words carefully. A lot of us were taught to speak our minds and not to keep things bundled up inside of us.
Yes, we must speak up for ourselves but do so with carefully chosen words. Think of what you are saying before the words escape your mouth. Once spoken, words cannot be taken back.
Will it be easy to change our thoughts and words? Can we do this by ourselves? The answer is no. We cannot do this by ourselves, and we have to seek God’s help via the holy spirit. We must pray, repent, and always ask for God’s help.
Will it change immediately? I am not sure. It might or it might not. The thing to remember is not to give up. Don’t get frustrated. If you make a mistake, seek forgiveness, and keep praying for God to help you.
One day, you will find yourself thinking about the consequences of each word before you speak it. It will become a simple task.
Most of all, your life will be transformed. That within itself is priceless and worth all the effort.

Believe the words He speaks about you!

blessed-by-godWP8.24.19

Has God told you who He created you to be and what He created you to do for His glory?
If He has, you must take His promises and always utter them aloud to yourself. You have to do this frequently.
Post them on your fridge, post them on your bathroom mirror, post them on a promise board, post them where you will see them, read them, and be reminded of those words often.
You must consistently remind yourself of God’s truth. If you don’t tell yourself the truth, no one else is going to tell it to you.
Listen to the truth God has spoken about you. Do not doubt it, question it, and never let anyone change your mind about who God says you are.
God’s words about who you are will always uplift you. His words will never confuse you, misdirect you, undermine you, or speak ill of you.
God’s words will always uplift you, direct you, inspire you, assure you, and show His love for you.

Did you let your dreams die?

you-are-forgivenWP4.13.19

You know what God showed you about your destiny. It was so long ago, but you are holding onto that vision, or did you give up on it?
Do not let go of it! Hold onto that promise with every ounce of strength you have.
Do not let go of that promise for any hater, naysayer, or doubter.
Yes, they may laugh and make fun of you, but let them! Don’t let their doubts and disbelief affect your praise, worship, faith, or your spoken utterances of God’s promises.
Let them laugh, point their fingers, and shake their heads in disbelief
God will have the last laugh. When they see what God brings to pass, they will be calling you, searching for you, looking for you, and asking everyone where you are and how to get ahold of you.
Never think that your dreams are dead!
If you have let go of those dreams because so much time has passed and you though God had forgotten about you and His promises, then here is the plan.
First, seek God’s forgiveness for giving up on Him, and His promises then revive those dreams with your words! YOUR WORDS HAVE POWER! You are a child of the most high God. His words have power, and so do yours! God speaks life into everything, and so can you!
SO, speak life into those dreams to reignite them!
Do not let your dreams wither and die. Speak life into them!

Your words can build up or tear down.

word-have-powerWP3.23.19

Your spoken words contain the power to promote or the power to devalue.
Be very mindful about the words uttered by your tongue.
Do the words you speak cause agony, hurt, pain, and tears?
Even the words you speak to your family can raise them up OR pull them down.
God’s word warns us about tearing down others with our words.
Sometimes we speak harsh words to the ones we love that we would not utter to any other person.
Our words can build or tear down. Mere words can cause damage that lasts a lifetime.
Mere spoken words can send another person into a downward spiral that they never recover from.
Mere words can inflict pain, wounds, and suffering that lasts a lifetime.
Mere words can dramatically alter the projected achievements of another person.
Mere words can make someone feel unlovable for a lifetime causing them unrecoverable damage.
If you are speaking evil or using words to tear down others, how will you explain that to God?
There will be a day when we all will have to account for every word spoken.
No one will be exempt from this judgment(Matt12:36).
No man is promised tomorrow. Today, seek the forgiveness of a loving and almighty God.
Today, I am so thankful for His forgiveness. I am not exempt from this judgment, BUT I have sought His forgiveness and stand in His grace of being forgiven.

What your mind hears, your mind will believe.

wordshavepowerChalkWP2.16.19

What kind of words do you speak over yourself?
Are those words full of power, positivity, motivation, and love?
Or are those words full of lies, doubt, negativity, fear, and failure?
Your words should declare that you are victorious, beautiful, wise, knowledgeable, productive, remarkable, and beloved by God?
Choose to speak life, speak your destiny into existence, and speak the words God speaks about you.
Your mind will believe the words you speak.

Father, hear our prayers for our families.

prayer-in-wood-9.16.17WP

Our families are under spiritual attack. God is a God of order, and He honors the hierarchy of the family.
Husbands hold the lead position and guide the family to and through the will of God. The wife is the partner of the husband. She holds a unique key to cry out to God in prayer for all the members of her family. I believe that many women are prayer warriors. It is something about the sheer compassion that women hold in their hearts. Not wanting their family to suffer, women cry out to God with fierce compassion. Women want only the very best for their family.
The children too are helpers in prayer etc. to bring the things of God to pass in all their lives.
The family unit in prayer has power! God’s word tells us this. “When two or three come together in agreement in My name, I am with them”(Matt18:20). There is POWER in the unified prayer of a family.

If your family does not take part in the unity of prayer (yet), pray with another wife/mother you know.  Two women who are also wives/mothers praying together is very powerful!
The enemy knows this too. He has been working hard to destroy the family using drugs, additions, pornography, loneliness, sadness, emptiness, and insecurities, etc.
Drugs are pouring into our nation. Now, right around the corner, the legalization of marijuana.  These drugs continue to steal the futures of family members.

Child sex traffickers are aiming to sexually abuse children who might one day become part of a loving, supportive family via adoption. Sexual abuse is a hard hurdle to overcome for any person. For this person, the thought of a loving God may be something they never accept thanks to sexual abuse.
The economy is another factor that robs the family. Women are less likely to marry a man if he has no job or makes very little money. Since marriage isn’t a choice in these instances, more women choose to give birth out of wedlock thus breaking the family unit.

Drowning in debt, young college graduates cannot afford to get married and start a family thus delaying or even totally preventing the a family from ever beginning.

Suicide is also on the rise. It is stealing the lives of teens, mothers, and fathers.
All of these issues that are tearing the family unit apart all seem so overwhelming. You may think about all this and say it is too much to handle for just one person. But our role is not to control or tackle it. Our job is to pray about it!
I have included some links for websites that help guide you in the specific prayers for your family. You can also search for sites yourself.
Don’t forget to pray for the protection of the minds and spirits of our children. Constantly bombarded with ideas, our children are under spiritual attack all day and night. They are faced with suggestions and ideas from their friends, the internet, social media, etc.
When you use these prayers, use the bible verses listed. When God hears us verbally reminding Him of His word, He has to respond! His unbreakable word will NEVER fail! His word is His promise!
Also, try making God’s word personal to your family. Replace any names listed in verses (like David, Moses, etc.) or any pronoun with the names of your family members.
Here is an example. In this example, we will say that the family member names are John, the husband, Sally, the wife, and Michelle, child.
Here is the verse I will use as my example as Sally is in prayer for her family: We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
When Sally is praying, here is what she will say to personalize this verse to her family: Father, Your word says in 2 Cor 4:8-9 that John, Michelle and I are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; John, Michelle and I are perplexed, but never in despair; persecuted, but never forsaken; struck down, but never destroyed.”
Personalizing God’s words to accommodate your family will bring even more power to these verses. I have found that it brings me faster into God’s presence. Once, there, I feel the glory of His power more intensely.
Also, let God know, via your prayers that you even come in agreement with every family that is also praying for their own families protection, restoration, unity, etc.
Speak to God via your prayer as a very close friend. Prayer does not have to fancy. In my experience, I have found myself in God’s presence quickly just by using three simple words: “God, help me!” Followed next by, “Father, I don’t know what to do next.”
Don’t be ashamed to bring up any subject matter that is concerning to you. Remember, there is no shame is God’s eyes. He is not the God of shame but the God of love.
God loves you and only wants the very best for you.
